This man of God should be protected at all costs!! Amen. Glory goes to God, not a man, former president, or otherwise.

This sermon begs the question what is a Christian nationalist.
I’ve been a committed Christian for the past 45 years. I love our country. And have fought to preserve our freedoms. Does that make me a Christian nationalist? If it does, then that’s what I want to be.

I am also a Christian, love my country, and have fought for freedom - no those feature do not make a Christian Nationalist. A Christian applies the values of Christianity, and does not commit idolatry and covert political power. And a Nationalist is not the same as a patriot.

The title of his latest book makes me wonder if he believes his own words. I am a lifelong liberal Democrat Episcopal priest surrounded by other affluent people in an affluent town who tend to vote as I always have. “White Christian Nationalist” seems to be an invective to use against the deplorable people out in them hills who don’t read the Washington Post or listen to NPR. I have met and come to love many of these deplorable so called “Christian Nationalists” but not one of them identifies with this insulting label foisted upon them by people like us.

Some talk the talk, but don't walk the walk. My black grandson was baptized in the church, became an acolyte, his mother joined the choir, and church women said we would like him to go to the church school with their children, so we applied for the 6th grade, and he was rejected, saying he was a behavior problem. I don't know how he could be before being in the school, but if true don't you offer some kind of help? The worse part was the silence, no one said they were sorry he was rejected, I believe it was because they knew why. I later asked one of his teachers, a white male. and his answer was we still have racism. I did get a call from the rector, not the headmaster, saying it wasn't because he was black. Again, he didn't say he was sorry he didn't get in, just don't badmouth the parish, I later send an Email with Matt 18: 6, then received a nice letter saying to change my membership. I love the Episcopal Church and want him confirmed, but don't dare risk him again. The good news that in his current school he is getting all kinds of awards. The principal just took him out for lunch the other day. To be estranged from the church and being afraid to take a grandchild to church is not pleasant. Where is the Episcopal Church welcomes you for him? Pax Christi.
