I grew up at his church in the 70s and 80s. I played in his church band as well. I miss him and that church.
He had a huge vision and heart for growth in 1993-1994 that is so needed for July 2021!!!! He had GREAT FAITH!!! LORD, Give us GREAT FAITH in JESUS NAME!!!
All of the faith we will ever need was given to us the moment we became born-again! We are united with Holy Spirit, and are now complete, lacking nothing. Nothing.
Our job is to have our minds renewed to the word of God. It's our souls that limits us. We must wash it with the Word, to get it into perfect unity with God. Be blessed!

Excellent! Let those who can teach, teach. Those who can shepherd, shepherd , etc.. Everyone whom God has positioned for the '5-fold ministry' must be ready. Each should be doing as Jesus instructed; bringing freedom to the captives, laying on hands and healing the sick, and casting out demons. Only those who are doing such can lead others to do such. Gender of the leader doesn't matter. Go strong in Christ. 😊

Love these Sumrall Sermons. Thank you, for sharing them. @ 1:48 Every time I watch one of this older sermons, I always look for the back of my head ;). Right there is where I always sat. Always sat near the exit in case I was called to go to the nursery. That little boy is now 30 years old.
The years of sumralls sermons wasn't that long ago,so yes the LORD is coming soon.
"Soon" is near, in the face of eternity. Even if "soon" is in 1000+yrs. 👍

Look at it this way Jesus Christ is coming back and it's only for you this time. Only YOU. He is coming back for his people, yes, but we all must stay ready.
I'm definitely not ready for Jesus to return. Are you? I'm not really doing what Jesus said to do; set captives free, lay hands on sick so they are healed, and cast out demons. Are you doing these things? I'm asking because you said you're ready for his return. Remember his parable of the talents?

I don't know what his point is regarding Israel (Jews) and the 1st Covenant.
God gave Israel a certificate of divorce. He will make her (new Jerusalem) Christ's Bride, through the 2nd Covenant.
That's relevant, but I just don't understand what point Lester was making about them.
He speaks about physical circumcision but forgets to speak about the circumcision of the heart. I guess he’s another one scared to criticize their behaviour. The new covenant is the only way. Unless they believe in Jesus they will be under the wrath of God.
