Thank you for your post Greg, you read my thoughts. Wonderful approaches for applying so my body builds confidence and courage to achieve my movement and emotional goals. ✌🏽😊
I changed certain movements in fear of pain and potentially making something worse. Didn’t do me any good but found that trying to be as natural as possible helped bring muscles back into play. What are your thoughts on saddle chairs for hips by the way?
Saddle chairs aren’t really something I have a huge opinion on either way… BUT if the idea is that it is somehow dangerous to sit in a normal chair all day and this is a way to make it “safer” for your back or hips, then I have a problem with it. If it’s just that it feels good and make your hips feel better, then why not use it!
Tricky one this I like extension but had trouble flexing and there is a lot of flexion in the pilates method. I had bulged a disc in my thoracic spine 20years ago before I trained as a pilates teacher. Try to cover all movement planes but yes we must be mindful. Matt the pilates teacher
Control and consider your movement and yes challenge were appropriate and when needed. We must all try to move globally . Matt the pilates teacher.

I am beginning to think that predictive coding is the root of all evil, even when it seems "positive."
It’s just the brain doing what it does… I think it’s our job to help the brain make good predictions
