- MORE TRAM TESTING FOOTAGE!
This time we take to the skies for some aerial footage.
I've mentioned before that most of the route is in a no fly zone for drones. It turns out that there is a small sliver of airspace where a drone can get up and I was kindly sent this footage which shows a few minutes of the trams getting tested near Carlingford Station.
The footage included a few moments of some panoramic shots which I've left in for context.
Thanks for watching!

Great footage!
Very good drone footage I appreciate your effort and keep doing ❤ from Mumbai
Nice footage, I like your helicopter filming setup 👍
U should go into Parramatta and follow the tram thought the CBD of Parra to Westmead they have started testing there
Can anyone explain why it is double track at the terminal at carlingford but single going under pennant hills road but double track at both the kissing point road over bridge and Victoria road is it just because of space constraints
Pretty sure because of space constraints and the government loves to save money lol
Yes
Great clips, I absolutely hate the fact that the government didn’t make space for the whole line to be double track and some parts battery only, definitely going to cause a few disruptions that wouldn’t happen with both those things. I hope they go with a 3rd rail for the battery parts though because they won’t put a catenary due to things above or heritage stuff.
It's only this one little section that is single track.
@@carisi2k11 I know, but can still cause bottlenecks.
Has battery failure been a problem in Newcastle?
@@peterelvery Don’t believe so, but never say never.
@@traingeekfromNSWOne section should be fine, it probably won’t be the hardest thing to figure out in terms of signalling and timetabling
