Without fail, you "MADE" me spend more money on comics! 😊 Just ordered Klaus, Incognito, Feathers, Big Man Plans, & many more! Thanks for the recommendations!
i love Revelations, thanks for this tip, I saw your video, bought it, enjoyed it. Thanks, I will buy the other books as well from you video. thanks a lot again
As always, fantastic! I will be seeking out 'The Alcoholic' once this video ends.... Heavy and hard drinker myself for 20 years, being a seaman and in the forces..... almost 3 years sober now and don't miss it at all... Big up, Jess! Please keep up the great work here, stay sober and as always, big love!
Great content Jess like always..loved Velvet though it seems like ending is more of a start to an ongoing series in the Velvet world ..but while reading the book you almost get the vibes of watching a cool spy thriller ..
my favorite one and done books are Puerto Rico Strong, Maus (does it count), The Peanuts Treasury, and Sheets. I picked up Joe the Barbarian and Peanuts Where Beagles Dare. IP.S. I don't know if I will do a video on Maus because it is so personal to me.
I always thought I knew a lot about comic books until I listened to you and the Omnibus Collectors group. I remember reading some silver age stuff and my first serious dabble with collecting was in the mid to late 80's reading other peoples Daredevil and Sgt. Rock collections in singles. My knowledge is just a drop compared to you. Your enthusiasm for the medium clearly shows and I love listening all your reviews because it just makes me want to read more of what you like.
Selina’s Big Score feels like a Brubaker Criminal story set in the Batman universe . Also have you read the Light Brigade ? Collected 4-issue mini series And while we’re on Darwyne Cooke - Trinity
I just did a re read of the alcolholic... I read it back when u recommended it here.... I think its definately in my 10 slice of life comics.... great pic once again....
Comic Passion616 Fatale is super good and if you ask me on a different day I’d put Fatale over Velvet. If you ask me another day my top 3 would be Criminal, Sleeper and The Fade Out. I haven’t read his Captain America stuff because the Omnis are stupid expensive, but I love his indie stuff so much.
Jess love this series of videos. You saying this book will take you no time, got me thinking. I’m a fairly new reader on a budget. Could you do a series about the best priced books with the best story, no matter the length type video. I know epic collections are a great example this type of book. I’m interested in your thoughts.

Yeah I understand your feelings about Maus, very strong emotions brought out
Interesting, I remember not liking Batman snow, going to give it another go now based on your recommendation
TBH, it was probably the artwork that made me love it lol

Thanks, Lloyd! I don't have a lot of knowledge compared to a lot of other ppl on YT, but I am very passionate about comics!

Love this format !! Can't get enough of it.
Velvet is definitely in my top 3 Brubaker books! Kill or Be Killed And Fade Out being the other twk
And how about Fatale and the mainstream stuff he did for Marvel, especially his Cap run ?

High Crimes was a pretty good book. I don't have too many one and done books and the ones I do have you have already talked about.
Thx for the vid & I want that Visions book, I have it in my wishlist on IST. Have a great weekend.
You need to read "Rust" also from archaia, it's 4 small volumes but they're really quick reads...it's amazing!!

ok, will give that some serious thought!
I've been thinking and that is a great idea!
Yeah no pressure to make it, just thought it could be a interesting topic. Maybe call it best bang for your buck books or something along those lines.
Wrinkles is one I really enjoy. It has an animated film version too which I think tells the story better.
The Omega men: The end is here is also good.
I really miss Darwyn Cooke.
Hello Omnidog! What other format is Batman Snow collected in?
This one: 978-1401247621
Tales of the Batman: JH Williams
