Everyone’s saying that Timothèe Chalamet and Saoirse Ronan are the Leo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet of our generation. It’s true but I’ve just been reading it wrong the whole time because with all her nominations Saoirse is the Leo DiCaprio in this friendship.
saoirse has never done a bad performance in her career . she truly becomes the characters she’s playing with such talent she is way over due for an oscar
If her characters are supposed to be unlikable, she’s done a great job. Only films I’ve liked her in were ‘the lovely bones’, ‘the host’ and ‘Mary queen of Scots’. (And ‘atonement’ too. Briony gets a bad rap. She was just a child.)
@@Nazaba09 Sometimes they are. I hated Lady Bird the character, I just wanted to punch her the entire movie, which for me was kinda the point and she delivered a really good performance.
Ecléctico Iconoclasta not as much as before! It’s because the industry people want tomake her look more relatable to the U.S. demographic. I remember when she did press, as a kid, for this movie she did with Michelle Pfeiffer, and they made her hide her Irish accent and instead use the U.S. accent 100%. The older she got the more her authentic accent came to show durng the press for the movie projects.
is it just me or saoirse and the interviewer has chemistry (nothing sexual or romantic) their conversation felt nice and smooth, like two friends talking, it's lovely to watch. i love her.
That's what you get when both the interviewer and interviewee are great. Most of her interviews are one sided and Saoirse does most of the work and is amazing with it. The hosts on the other hand are more interested in how to pronounce her name like it was never asked for a million times before.
Now she has 4 nominations. The greatest actress of her generation and will go down in history as one of the all time greats along with Meryl Streep, Bette Davis, Judi Dench, Tilda Swinton, Liv Ullmann, Maggie Smith, Ingrid Bergman, Olivia Colman, Marion Cotillard, Nicole Kidman, etc. So proud of this ultra talented girl. She'll win an Oscar for sure one day.
@@cla2599 again that's my opinion and majority of credible critics too. Florence Pugh is overrated as F. Her nomination for LW was a joke. Kirsten Dunst and Samantha Mathis gave better and layered performances as Amy.
Hosni Guiling agree about little women and she was too old for the role but Florence should have been nominated for Midsommar. Jodie Comer have more awards than Saoirse so It’s not really the majority of critics
I first saw her in hannah and she blew me away. I think she's one of those actors that doesn't have that diva esk Vibe around her. Seems like a genuine person who you want to have a fun conversation with and talk about anything.
She was great in Mary Queen of Scots and Hanna. Winning an award should not be a goal. She's won "the people's awards." I don't think a director can hire an actor as "realistic" as her. She's about as real as it gets when she plays her roles. The end of conversation.
@Sally Vee if I remember it right, she didnt overpowered all of them, she killed one of them then ran, and she tried to evade those assassins the whole film. also the one who kill the rest of those assassins is her father.
The first film I've seen with her was City of Amber and even in this teen movie I knew she was serious. Then I saw Lovely Bones and the rest of her career confirmed my first feeling : she is the greatest actress of her generation.
When I was a kid, I did jump out of a running motorcycle as a result of a disagreement with my mother lol. It wasn't easy for her to raise me and I admire her love and patient
This movie changed my life. Never have I watched a film that is so real and relatable - I feel the movie is just as much about me as it is about Lady Bird. Thank you Greta, thank you Saoirse, and most of all, thank you Dave Matthews.
Lady Bird is the type of movie that you never get tired of watching over and over again; watch it today then watch it again tomorrow and the day after that then the week after and still feel like you haven't watched it yet. Saorsie and her co-actors and specially Greta Gerwig did such at terrific job at capturing the sort of childhood nostalgia that other movies have a hard time getting into. Definitely one of my favorites
She’s such an underrated talent!! Just watched her in The Outrun, absolutely sublime and the perfect film about hope❤❤❤ can’t wait til she gets an Oscar
@@Nazaba09 oh pleaseee im not saying she should win because she's playing a lesbian its just a fan hoping she can finally win an oscar pleaseee chilé next.
Natalie Zayas-Bazan so because she’s playing a gay character her win is invalid no matter how great her performance? You really don’t see how damn stupid that is
I got to see a play in NYC a few years back with Bruce Willis and Laurie Metcalf (I wasn't aware of her at the time) WOW! she stole the show! what a brilliant actress!
Both Leo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet won at their 6th nomination. Amy Adams and Glenn Close have never won Saoirse has 4 right now Maybe the next time is the right time for her xD
The actor driving the car is the only actor that that I have ever seen that looks as though she is really driving the car the way she looks at the road ahead. Most actors talk to the passenger and dont appear to be interested in the road ahead or cars. Great job.
saoirse is probably one of the first actresses i knew when i was a kid back in like 2011-when my mom made me watch hanna. i was also stunned because we had the same birthday. until know, i still keep up with her and her movies. i wish one day she gets the credit she actually deserves💗

An interviewer who's actually discussing about their love of film together with one of today's greatest performers?! Wow. Never fire that guy.
Ik i love this guy. He always has the best interviews
He is the best!
His name is Ali Plumb, the best interviewer that I've seen, he is amazing at what he is doing, love him
He's genius, look for his interviews.
Honestly enamoured with the way he works ❤️ he’s pure magic and pure passion for film made man
One day she will DEFINITELY get an Oscar!
Till then She’s gonna get nominated every time..
such a talent she is. 🌝
I think that Ammonite can be that movie where she will get Oscar. If all goes well and that movie is actually good.
she's extremely talented and such a young actress that deserved her nominations
Let’s all admit it.
We are in love with her. ❤️
( Ayush Upadhyay ) i’ve been a fan since 2010
Ali Plumb is such a great interviewer.
He's SO good.

Kate has more acting noms than Leo tho... lol
This is so sadly true
Billy Bobby I am pleasantly surprised to hear that. Go Kate!! Let’s hope she gets to win more ✨

I love her sense of humor also I could listen this two talk for hours
I could just listen to her talk all day.
