I've got a citroen berlingo, someone tried to break into it, and has pulled the door handle on the back left sliding door, the handle now only moves a bit, and the door moves out about 1 cm but won't open fully, any ideas on what might be jamming it / stopping it from opening ? We live in Spain and ive taken it to 2 mechanics who keep saying take it to a scrap yard because i might need a new door, but they've not actually tried to fix it themselves
Can you get the trim off the inside? If you can you will be able to get directly on to the lock mechanism where you will be able to pull one of the rods to open it. There won't be much holding the inner trim on. Even if you worst case you have to destroy it to get on the rods at least you will be able to get it open to see the problem.
