So just out of curiosity why didn't you just skin in a new rocker and quarters. I always find it quicker to throw panels at it vs patching?

I didn’t use replacement quarters, because I wanted to add the flared lip for a little more tire coverage and to add a little shape to the sides of the truck.
With the exception of one supplier, all of the rockers I found were in 18 or 20 ga metal and fairly expensive for what you actually get. They aren’t that hard to make and I wanted fairly thick metal, so they will last basically forever now. Thanks for watching!

are you going to take that trim off your door? it is hiding a body line your patch piece is missing:o

It very well could be hiding some missing body line, but no that trim or most likely something very similar has been on the truck as far back as I can remember. May be that my Grandfather put it on originally or possibly even the dealer when he bought it. I’m going to try to find a new version of the same and replace it. I do know the driver door came off of a donor truck we had in the mid 80’s and so that trim was either reinstalled or replaced at that time.
Thanks for watching, I’ll look and see if there is a body line hidden under the trim (or if it was bonded over by the last body shop.)
