When you said " I miss her, I miss her a lot " that hit me hard man. I'm not sure if to say congrats on working full time for youtube but hey you have grown your audience enough that moving to youtube full time is an option so great job. I honestly got here for the wood content and later on saw you as a role model of a parent and not just a wood worker like many others on youtube. I love your videos and the little clips with your kids. But mostly I enjoy your vibes, you care and ethics that brings hope in humanity and a fresh air to all the atrocities you see on the news and internet. So thank you for being you and all your dedication.

Thank you. My wife has CFS/FM and for years she's been explaining the problems it causes; and while I've understood, I've never *really* understood... "unable to recharge her human battery" suddenly dropped all of what she's been saying into one sentence which exploded in my head in understanding. Thank you for that, from both of us.

I am 17 and have developed MECFS and It ruined my hopes and dreams, I could no longer get anything done that I wanted, In fact I can even remember what I wanted to do. I had to switch to online school which I still have been failing. And now according to my doctor's I could be diagnosed with Fibermyalgia. After watching and hearing your story I have rediscovered the passion of woodworking since middle school and it has been what motivates me. You have a beautiful life, and you are helping so many people, whether that be with CFS or depression, etc. You have a beautiful wife and 3 brilliant kids, nothing can stop you from living your life to the fullest. Mine may not be near as bad because I have no idea how your wife has it. But I am sure there is no better feeling with CFS than to be loved. 💙💜

Press on brother. I faced a similar situation about 6 years ago because my daughter has epilepsy and her seizures had reached a point where the possibility of her needing full time care. I began making plans in that direction when we decided to install a device called a VNS which is essentially a pacemaker for the brain. Her brain gets a 30 second zap every 4 minutes. Overtime, things did improve, but not enough for us to feel comfortable leaving her alone ( she was 18 at this time). Then, we found a neurologist that gave her a more specific diagnosis called juvenile myoclonic epilepsy (JME). He then changed up her medicine and things slowly turned for the better. Long story short, she’s now 24 and has gone one year without a full gran mal seizure. She will occasionally have slight episodes, but it’s not debilitating. She’s working and going to school and will have her associates in business administration by December. One of the many lessons I learned was to NEVER give up hope, things can get better. Let their needs be your fuel, but also take care of yourself in there somewhere. It’s imperative so that you can meet their needs without it costing them their dad and husband. You have the talent and the drive to do this and I’ll watch anything you put out. Press on brother. 👍

Wow. Chris, Your the man. You have inspired millions from the very first video to this one and you will times that by a million just from this one video you uploaded today. I was a late starter in finding you on TH-cam but I've watched every video you have every uploaded now. It talks a true gent like yourself to stand up in front of 114k people and tell there story, and it will encourage a lot more to do the same. I salute you Chris. I once sat in front of my webcam, on one of my live streams and told my audience how I discovered a lump in my Scutum which turned out to be a Tumour. That one livestream was the most valuable livestream to date in my work as a spiritualist, and I think your have just hit that too today. Your an awesome guy with an awesome wife and awesome children. I hope your wife gets some relief but I'm sure having you available at home will take some worry away from her and may help just the tiniest bit with allowing her to rest. In a past time I worked with autistic kids, 20 of them as their maths teacher, they were truly some of the funniest and sweetest kids I have ever dealt with, so much so that in a later stint in adult education I tutored quite a few, including a non-verbal guy who was working on his bachelors degree in engineering! The kids always seem so happy in your clips and now that you have discussed it maybe you will feel more comfortable sharing those moments you held back previously. Rest assured that you made the right decision to be home with your family as the rewards and happiness over the years will pay back more than you can imagine.

As a father of a 31 yr. son with Autism, he is non verbal and on the MR spectrum also, I was were you are 29 years ago. Children represent hope and we have three vessels of hope. I like the person I became but I hate that is was moulded by my son’s challenges. Good for you for stepping up……many men bail on their families. God bless.

So much openness and vulnerability. I've been watching since your shop build videos and was drawn in by your authenticity. I hope you're able to give your family as much of yourself as they need. I will continue to watch and support what you do. Seems like a good time to que up all your vids and binge watch 👍🏾stay blessed.

We just came over to your channel from a link Stumpy Nubs provided. So glad he sent us your way. Thank you for sharing your family and story. There is always hope. We have friends that have 3 Autistic children. The 2 boys are mostly non verbal but their daughter, the oldest, just graduated high school with honors. That may not sound like much to some but she is less verbal than your daughter. Our friends are both pastors at our home church and they give back by starting a special needs class to help other children like theirs and their parents.
Again, thank you for sharing. We will be watching your videos and catching up.

Congratulations! I couldn’t be happier for anyone else. Watch a lot of YT on woodworking, but you always have a smile, excited about what you do and see the great dad, husband and woodworker you are. Very genuine when it comes to being an amazing human being. Some other YT’ers changed as they’ve gotten more popular, but you seem different from the others. You can be assured I watch all your videos from beginning to end and always admire your enthusiasm and knowledge in your craft, even when it comes to CNC. 😂 But seriously, your wife is stunning, your kids are so adorable and I couldn’t be happier you get to do what you like from home with that wonderful circle around you. Watched you reach 100K, and will be with you on your way to 1M.

    I’m not crying.. you’re crying. ❤️
I watch all your videos.. you are a true inspiration. Thank you for doing what you do for your family.
I have fibromyalgia and know exactly how it feels to not recharge from sleep.. I also have a 5 year old autistic son.. woodworking and making is my happy place and we all have our “whys” and need to support each other.
You deserve where you’re at right now.. you needed it.. not just to provide for your family but for your own self care and that is a beautiful thing.
    You got this 🙏

Youve done an amazing job so far. I started my channel after suffering for many years with anxiety & depression. My channel is tiny compared to yours but making stuff & videos has helped my mental health so much. I also film, edit, make thumbnails all on my phone & the channel is slowly growing. Very very slowly that is.
My granddaughter has autism & she is the sweatest girl i know. Wouldnt change her for the world. Thanks for sharing

I hope to see you do a project that really tests your skill though. Just take on something you say "no way I can do that". We will all watch you learn, and learn with you.

Having a daughter on the spectrum, I hear you man. My baby girl is going to be 30 at her next birthday. She’s high functioning like your girl, but clearly on the spectrum. I only share to thank you for sharing and to let you know, it’s still amazing. She will always be Daddy’s little girl and I’m just fine with that. I will never have to give up seeing her sing Disney princess songs all day long. You strike me as a guy that sees the bright side of things. You have many many years of amazing times ahead of you. Best of luck, sir, and thanks again!

Hey brother... I wanna give a big Ric Flair Wooooo!! 2nd.. I was sure it was the window frame display case that sent you on your way, that's what brought me to your channel. (lol) I'm still going to build one of those. 3rd Your right you have created an audience that is invested in you and your journey. Your tips and tricks and your advice on different podcasts and content creators you have suggested along the way. Man, I must have had sawdust in my office while watching the end part of the vid. I may not always respond but I will always click. Also, I am part of a bible study group, and you and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers. Love you and what you do. I have been a follower of your channel for a while now and had no idea this was part of your story. I really appreciate your transparency, emotion and truth in your situation. I understand some of the fear we have as creators, not just human, to be real and transparent. Sometimes we cannot even be honest with ourselves.
I came over from Stumpy's channel to watch this video and it made me cry. I will not miss ANY more of your content and will surely go back and catch up all the episodes I missed.

At 14:40 is exactly the mentality of our household as well and it's not as dark as it might sound.
One of my kids has severe epilepsy and all sort of things. 17 years and a few close calls gives perspective, but also strength. I've spent around one month basically living in children's ICU and that place both heart shattering and the most positive place I know.

I’ve met this guy. I built the fence behind him, and my company did his pavers. He really is as cool and upbeat positive guy he is in the videos. Sometimes you see people in videos and think it’s an act. Not the case here. The first day on the job I met him before he left for work, and just meeting and chatting about the fence I was building him, he was so positive and cool it put me in a positive and up beat mood. I love this channel and the stuff he builds. But also his attitude and how he gets excited about what he’s building…Chris you are the real deal and and congratulations on your success and I know it’s just going to get better and better.
