Wow, I just slammed my phone on my face while there was a sample running and i actually got a 3D experience with out a cardboard!!! Unfortunately it is blurry and stuff... But anyway, it's so sick! :D
I put my iPod on my face and the VR looks so badass and I hope VR improves to become kind of like SAO (Sword Art Online) :3

Games is great and all to engage interest but are there apps that make the use of VR more practical? Like for example a whiteboard thinking room app if I want to design a program I can place/pin my functions and module ideas on a virtual wall etc..??

If I blur my eyes and look at the middle screen it looks 3D. I think it's how the headset works. It's like Magic eye from back in the day.

Are there any actual games out there? My phone natively supports Dualshock 4 via Bluetooth and it would be sick if I could actually play some games that way.
ok. why not developing apps for gyroless smartphones? that's because 1 year ago i i have a 5,5 inch mediacom smartphone ...but without gyro. but using the rear camera for motion tracking, can emulate the orizzontal axis. and the accellerometer can take the Y axis. now why not developing this function , only for gyroless devices????

cardboard doesn't work with gyroless devices because some developers won't work to. a solution for gyro is the rear camera for use that like a sensor for looking left and right. and the accellerometer for up and down vision. UNDERSTAND ?
I wonder how it works. If i am wearing it with my phone in it, do i know to remove my phone to choose another game or videos?

Why weren't you looking around? It just seemed like a video being played in all of the demos. For example, in the rollercoaster demos, it seemed you were just looking straight the whole time and not up/down, side to side, etc. What's the point of VR if you're not looking around?
At this video I didn't wear my Google Cardboard on my head.
The phone was only on my hands.
So that is why I didn't look around.

How do you connect a Bluetooth mouse with it? Do you use a USB adapter?
cardboard maybe can work on any device only if the device have a gyro. or not. if you want to use cardboard you need a smartphone with accelleromer and GYRO. but we need to ask to developers to developing vr apps for devices without gyro but using rear camera to look left and right. understand?

HTC M7. every app bit one that I've tried, the image jumps from place to place at even the slightest suggestion of a movement..really frustrating, anyone got any suggestions? I've calibrated the gyro but it doesn't help. Only the dinosaur one works properly

Now I'd like to see Google Cardboard capabilities with PC's, and current gen consoles. Think about it, PS4 remotes have the ability to pair with androids and many bluetooth controllers work on Android as well. I would love to play first person GTA 5 on this. With a 2K display on my face. Modern devices are 64-bit and have fast processors so I definitely think a remote play option would be able to handle it depending on how new of a device you have. Just think when Project Ara becomes of it, there will be mini gaming PCs on our faces lol.

Lake Bass Sony has PS4 remote play on their phones...so VR on the PS4 is, I guess, technically possible provided you have strong enough internet, a sony xperia and have GTA V for PS4. Though you would probably have to wait for a new flagship for the 2K part as their phone smax out a 1080p.

..after I watch this vr demo without vr headset....I figured something awesome, I control eye position by look an object est 5 meters ( the wall) to memorize the focus my eye.. after done prscticing, go ahead, watch the video, imagine, you can look the same wall through the phone to get position of your eyes focusing level.....

i really wanna know how do you control the movement & actions of the game character when the cell phone itself is put inside the headset???? i'm trying to decide whether to buy a V.R headset or not depending on how well it is at video games & i don't quite get the idea !!!! , by the way it'm not talking about ocolus rift & playstaion vr, they have motion trackers & controllers but very expensive to buy just to see if i like it or not..... if anyone has a feedback to this please reply
I use bluetooth controller to control the actions of game characters. Many games work also without controller.

in the TH-cam VR how do you choose letters to search? u have only the Magnetic ring..
It doesn't have any option to search letters if your phone is in cardboard. You just have to take the phone off from cardboard during searching.

You know what really fucking sucks... I have a gear VR and can also use it to watch all this stuff.But I am so used to the buttery smooth sensors that come with the GearVR, regular phone gyro feels like shit .. I tried a few cardboard apps, but then quickly stopped and deleted them all .. even the worst apps on the gear VR preform better than the best cardboard apps. I wish many of these games would come to the oculus market asap..

This is what VR is all about. Your left eye looks left picture and right eye right. This creates a 3D effect.
You need Google Cardboard or similar headset to experience mobile VR.

hello ppl ; idk where to ask this but does anyone know any VR apps that are playable without gyro or gamepad ? i've found these : StarVrRacer , Subway surfing VR , VRBike , Fractal Combat X ,the last one is a bit tricky ,in order to get it to work ,start the game in 'normal mode' then start a mission ,when started go to options ,graphics and put it on 'VR' ,the game will complain because you have no gamepad , click 'show anyway' ,then click return (on your phone ,not a somewhere in the game) twice ,and if you can manage to put on your VR headset before you crashed your plane ,you can play the rest off the mission in virtual reality :)
Do cracked screens bother anybody using this? Normally I could ignore it, but just curious if this issue will cause a major disturbance in visuals since its magnified here.
I don't have a cracked screens, but I do know that I focus past the blemishes on the screen, like smudges and scratches, but you can adjust your eyes and see them. I don't think a crack will be too large of an issue, depending on the size and width of the crack and stuff

how do you click the menu options in the cardboard app? I can only go through the selections by moving my head but I can't activate anything. Pressing the ring thing on the side doesnt work either.
Touching the screen would have to do same than magnetic ring.

I might be stating the obvious here, but you say "pressing the ring thing on the side doesn't work". You shouldn't just press the ring, you pull it down and release it so it flicks back up.

Your phone doesn't have gyroscope sensor, so it it very limited for Google Cardboard.

That' why we have magnet button / touch buttons on headsets which does same than touching screen.

Seems like Galaxy J5 doesn't have gyroscope sensor so you are not able to watch 360° videos.
