    The Bareknuckle is definitely doing something here. That impresses me more than the other demos which use the stock SD.

    Your channel is an awesome resource for guitar reviews. I am in a deadlocked decision for a guitar selection and I thought you could help as you have both. LTD Satin Black Snakebyte or LTD Phoenix 1000 Cherry. I like the shape of the Byte and it doesn't have stainless steel frets but there is something cool about the look. I would guess the neck will feel the same. Is there one of these two that you think is dramatically better? Thanks for your help.

    • @GeorgeVGuitars
      @GeorgeVGuitars  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks man, I am glad you like the channel. Oooh thats an interesting situation. The Snakebyte and Phoenix are totally different from each other even though the shape is similar. First of all, you have Active vs Passive pickups, that should be one thing to consider. Then there's the scale lenght - the Byte is 24,75 where the Phoenix is 25,5 - think about that. If you are going to tune lower than C#, the Phoenix is your best bet with the longer scale. Third - how big of a fan are you when it comes to James Hetfield? Because the Byte has Metallica written all over it. If you dont mind that - go for it. Last but not least, the build quality is similar with both, but the Snakebyte is considerably more expensive regardless of the fact that it comes with a case. What I would do: If you are going to go Snakebyte - buy a used one in mind condition, with the ebony fingerboard. If you go Phoenix - buy that brand new. I hope that was helpful. Let me know which one did you go for. There is the third option - buy both used :>>

      Perfect answer, I’m not a fanboy but that’s what kind of makes it cool. It would be unexpected for me to show up with a Byte. I don’t down tune past D. And lastly I have an opportunity to purchase a 22 model with a nut upgrade for 1k. Snakebyte it is.
      Thanks

    • @wolfgangbridges3051

      @@GeorgeVGuitars yea it's pointless to compare the differences in sound in a comparison video, why would anyone want to hear tones through the same amp and settings, how dumb of me to make such an odd request.

    • @GeorgeVGuitars
      @GeorgeVGuitars  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@wolfgangbridges3051 There are tone demos of both guitars in both videos. Timestamped ;) One is in Drop A with 13-56 the other is in E Standard, as I said, not much of a A/B test. I do A/B tests when the guitars have similar string gauge, tuning and are preferably with the stock pickups otherwise it is misleading.
