- This is TEAM FORTRESS 2, but in Call of Duty Zombies! Welcome to 2Fort, a CoD Bo3 Custom Zombies Map where you upgrade and use the iconic weaponry from the popular Valve FPS game - Team Fortress 2. Marasmus has sent massive hoards of the undead to the Team Fortress 2 universe, and it is up to Soldier, Sniper, Demoman, and Heavy to stop them. This is EASILY one of my favourite Call of Duty Zombies maps after playing it today, featuring a full main Easter Egg quest where you complete a variety of challenges to earn SPECIAL variants of the iconic TF2 arsenal, custom quotes from the characters (mine being Soldier in this game), a gorgeous HUD overhaul, Zombie models from Black Ops Cold War Zombies, and much MORE! Well this is certainly surprising. Didn’t expect a TF2 zombies map. Only thing I wish the mapper did was make the zombies the TF2 undead soul models. That would have been the cherry on top.

I don’t know if FPSpsycho realised this. But the pack-a-punched weapons are bright red becauae you are playing as the red soldier, so an Uber charged rocket launcher would be bright red like that one you used.

Playing on 2Fort. Rick May was the voice of Soldier, the lad you're playing as, who sadly passed away in 2020 due to complications with covid. There's that statue of him on all* the maps.
Also, weren't far off with the stabs with the Kukri, sniper says 'Stab Stab Stab' with the huntsman taunt kill
Your 'golden' weapons are Australium. Which is basically superpower rock. Your 'Crocket' is a Crit, Critical, Rocket, hence Cr-ocket. Crits are random and totally fair and balanced.
Red VS Blu is Redtach VS Blutach, two brothers who hired the mercenaries to fight over Australium essentially.
The golden frying pan is one of the most coveted items in TF2. You get it rarely as a drop from MvM, PvE. It costs upwards of $2,000 usd

So if you did not know, TF2 has random crits. Which means one of your attacks has a chance to do three times base damage. And the Rocket launcher is infamous for killing entire teams with critical hits, so much so people call Critical hit rockets “Crockets.” Because you can both see when they are a critical hit rocket and also you are gonna die if it hits you.
I thought it was called that because of the davey crocket?

It's getting map updates and fixes still, as well as gamemodes like VSH and stuff like the player cap expansion. Just no new weapons/major content updates.

The map creator really missed the opportunity to replace the zombies with the Skeletons from the Halloween gamemodes
Edit: For anyone suggesting the zombie versions of the mercs instead, it technically wouldn't work lore wise. Plus, imagine the rigging nightmare of trying to match a Heavy zombie to a regular zombie.

BLU stands for Builders League United if I remember correctly and they are both a reference to the characters Redmond and Blutarch Mann who are the like main antagonists of the tf2 universe and they were referenced in that mod by the Mustang and Sally turning into Redmond and Blutarch

It kinda hurt my soul when you said you needed Deadshot when the weapons already had damn good hipfire. The hipfire functions how it does in TF2 where most of them are decently accurate lol. Haven't played TF2 since 2016. I started playing it at 2011. Such a fun game. Nostalgic af for me.
@@THEESilentMask44 the sniper is actually perfectly accurate on hipfire, just (in tf2) can’t headshot
First shot from every full auto weapon is perfectly accurate, afterwards the spread starts. Snipers are always totally accurate and shotguns have completely random spread in a cone.
Jesus, that one guy who made that Nazi zombies post back in the early 2010's must be proud of this.
My soldier experience led me to believe that he was gonna perform the speediest rocket jump on 27:47

I know this is just because I'm a sweaty TF2 fanboy, but seeing someone not being familiar with the layout of 2fort was really funny, I've spent so much time on that map I could walk through it blindfolded

A "crocket" is a critical hit rocket, every shot with a weapon can be a random crit and with soldier (the one you are playing as) has crazy damage with crits

That's a direct reference to Rick May; he was the Soldier's original voice actor; he sadly passed away from Covid in 2020.
And as for your initial comment on the map itself: Yes, this is a map in TF2; it's 2Fort. I'd say 2Fort (along with Hightower and Upward) is one of *THE* quintessential TF2 maps.
Truly a tragedy, he was very talented and portrayed the character PERFECTLY.
Also yeah it's one of the most iconic, it'd just been about a decade since I last played, so my memory is a bit fuzzy regarding the specifics (I've played so many games since).
20:00 Trust the british guy to call the Crocket Launcher the Croquet Launcher. It's named after the Davy Crockett Nuke Launcher, which was a fucking batshit insane idea to basically have a small (25kg) nuke be launched from a recoilless rifle. It was never used, thankfully.
And that the rockets that have crits applied is called a Crocket

My fav valve game is also portal 2, was shown it by my roommate a few months ago and is the only valve game I've ever fully beaten
While coding it might be a challenge, a Portal zombies map with a working portal gun would be the best thing ever

I’ve been playing this map non stop trying to get the final token. Besides the frustrations with me being an idiot with my routes, the map is extremely fun, and very VERY faithful to the actual CTF_2Fort map from the game.
Another great thing are the custom Announcer voice lines, which I feel like are either from the actual VA, or someone doing a VERY good impression. The use of all merc’s voicelines are really really nice as well, their triggers are very well done, making the voicelines fit the situations instead of just being thrown in there.
The weapons and models (including player models) are wonderful as well, like it’s absolutely crazy how amazing the models and animations are in comparison to TF2’s actual model and animation sets.
There’s also the nice little touches they included like the perk cans being “Bonk! Atomic Punch!” Cans, except the flavor is replaced with the perk name, and the cans color fits the perks color scheme, while also still remaining sort of faithful to the Bonk! can design.
Another great thing are the Pack-A-Punch names, being inside jokes in the community, like for the Rocket Launcher being “CROCKET LAUNCHER” (CROCKET is Crit and Rocket combined), or the Pack-A-Punched Sniper Rifle being “BOT CRISIS”, which is a reference to the several bot epidemics the game has faced (hopefully for the last time, thanks Valve!). Another great thing about PaP, is the fact that your weapons have the appearance of a Crit buff, like the Kritzkrieg (or the buff you get for winning a match/capturing the intel/Crit canteen from MVM)
Another small, yet amazing touch is the HUD, being the default HUD from the game, that has the little flashing health bar when your red screen and everything. Like it’s such a small, yet wonderful detail. Another thing is the music for round changes, again, it’s small, but amazing and fitting.
If I ever think of anything else, I’ll add edits, but as for now, that’s really all I can think of to praise the map and how well it’s made and how faithful the weapons are to the game.
A pretty underrated part of this is that the zombies spawning out of nowhere makes sense because of the spawn rooms lol

man it was fun seeing try to guess which class used what, i hope the devs of this map expand it with the BLU section and implement the other classes
half-life and portal are by far my favorite series in terms of gameplay and story

As someone who has thousands of hours on TF2 and probably around 1500ish hours in COD zombie games from WAW-CW, this map made me extremely happy when I saw it on the workshop for the first time

19:58 ah yes, the crocket launcher. the name "crocket" meas critical-rocket. Critical attacks are attacks that deal 3X the normal damage, with no damage fallof. The base damage for the rocket launcher is 100, and it has huge damage falloff, making it balanced. However whenever it gets critical hits, its extremely powerful and basically infamous in the community for being unfair. (You get crits randomly or by some specific items)

Fun Fact: The sniper class reloads his rifle every time he shoots it, but its so quick because he is a professional, and professionals have standards.
i do enjoy how the perks are stylized similar to that of tf2's achievements.
also bo4 blood made it easier to learn call of the dead.
This map has come a long way since it came out and it's probably my favorite custom map so far because of how much love was put into it (tf2 is my favorite game of all time so i may be biased)

13:33 The reason why the Sniper Rifle just shoots over and over as a bolt action is because TF2's Sniper class is able to slide a bullet in while he cocks the bolt back simultaneously. You can see him do it in Meet the Sniper.

The reason why the rocket launchers PAP is named (c)rocket launcher is because it only shoots crockets which are essentially just short term for “Critical Rockets” that do massive damage to enemies
We got TF2 Zombies before GTA6
infinity ward actually made my favorite 3rd mode in any call of duty, extinction from cod ghosts. i still play it daily to this day, and i find it to be more fun than any modern cod by a lot. however, i never really was a zombies player, and i do see why people who are used to zombies wouldnt like extinction that much, but personally i absolutely love it.
I wouldn't mind seeing Extinction return with a sequel to be honest!

Funnily enough the 4/20 Ammo isn't a weed joke, that really is how much ammo the rocket launcher has in TF2.
My favorite Valve game is either Half-Life or TF2. TF2 is a good multi-player experience bc Valve still updates the game and recently cracked down on bots in lobbies. The community is also pretty chill.
I had a match that was over 40 minutes long, and a group of both Red and Blu team members started emoting together and hanging out.
Also, the map is 2Fort. :)

The wonder-weapon is the Troilder set, doesn't deal any damage, but rocket jumper gives insane mobility. The Market Gardener replaces the melee. Only a minor upgrade normally, but does an absurd amount of damage while airborne.

I am a little disappointed that the golden frying pan doesn’t turn the zombies into golden statues when they die, like it does in TF2
Half Life is my favorite. Just too classic and the source engine through GMod gave me a part of my childhood Ill never forget.

If you do, I'd highly suggest waiting for a sale (usually fairly often), Black Ops 3 Zombies is still the definitive best edition, especially as an entry point.
The Golden weapons are basically a reward for doing the pve mode and it could take so much longer to get then anything else do to them being a reward that is based off rng and the frying pan last time i checked was the most expensive one

It truly is a love letter to the fans, I just wish I played TF2 more back in its prime, been a solid 10 years since I've played the game now (hence why I didn't get literally all the references like some people expected).

The map feels so right, but it'd be cool if the zombies were the Blu voodoo mercs, and the daylight felt more like at least like a dusk atmosphere to it.

I love terraria! You should try the Calamity mod after playing through the game. Be warned tho, the base game can be a little grindy
I've heard great things about Calamity, a friend was obsessed with it for a while. I don't mind grindy games, I'm a RAID: Shadow Legends addict at the moment!
