How far armwrestling has declined since the 80s is crazy. Nowadays it takes 15 minutes just to get the setup right and then another 15 after having to go to the straps and subsequent 15mins for each foul.

My buddy's Dad never lit one. They became short n gone, and replaced by another Marsh Wheeling. He grew Shade Tobacco.....

Which also means you can't believe how strong the guy who BEAT Cleve twice, in this double elimination tournament, was.
And the guy did it with power to spare, two flash pins from the go on Cleve left him stunned and confused. Hint: the guy who beat him hated Cleve's guts. He thought Cleve was a condescending jerk of an armwrestler and vowed to get his revenge and humiliate him in this big-money event where Cleve would bring his A game. And he smashed Cleve as he had hoped.

If you look up the real winners of 'Over the Top', you will find his name. Brzenk won the truckers division and got the truck. The winner of the 'pro' division beat Cleve Dean twice and won a cash prize of $10,000, which was a lot of money in 1986. He knew John, and they trained together. He said in training he 'toyed' with John, because he was so much bigger and stronger... His name was Scott Norton.
Holy smokes Cleve Dean was an enormous human.

ouch! check out magnus samuelson vs megaman. they did armwrestling one year at the strongman contest and this huuge guy Nathan from australia broke his humerus when european armwrestling champ samuelson put the brake on him with taking his wrist.nathan just kept pulling and turning his body away from the swede and bang it snapped.he broke his own arm.samuelson was just holding him in that position. they never had armwrestling since in strongman xD

I didn’t know John actually lost a match…I knew he won the event
He won the truckers division for the biggest prize, but he was not in the super heavyweight division. (John is an airplane mechanic which qualified him as a teamster)
