This is one of the most hilarious videos ever on internet.. Every detail is worked out, the music has its immensely weird story. It si an autistic band dream comes true. I watch the video from time to time for years. Noone else I know can appreciate it, sadly.. at least here gathered people who can. :)
Or some sick instrumental Bluegrass those guys are the essence of shred in regards to stringed instruments. Tangential thought. The way I got an appreciation for Classical Music (some variations, like Vivaldi) was to kind of listen to it as heavy guitar music and hear it that way. The violin representing a shredder on guitar.
1:40 I love the bass player's technique.....it adds a lot to the tune. 1:59 I didn't notice before but the bass player keeps tuning his bass during the song. LOL
Stanley Crouch: "Hey, I told you that Bitches Brew and all that was Miles selling out! You think that crap's far out, this is practically John Cage in comparison!"
I like this a lot...possibly the best avant garde ballad I've ever heard! I have one bit of constructive criticism: You could've at least added SOME bit of a drum track to this...I mean Tony's just sitting there with nothing to do, it's a crying shame...mind you, the percussive sounds of footsteps, string tuning and spit dripping from the trumpet's valve were a nice atmospheric touch :)
an amusing "plus" to these shred videos is the levels of sarcasm in the replies. Someone always says it sounds horrible and thinks it's real. Then people just all over him to tell its a joke. Then people starting saying it's real, being ironic. When people correct him, those people get crap for not getting the guy's joke. Then people starting correcting the joke post as a joke itself, which leads to people to only guess if it's a real comment, a sarcastic comment, an ironic copy of a real comment, a sarcastic copy of a sarcastic comment, etc. What will blow your mind is...what if THIS comment is me being ironic...
+Greenguy67 I am old enough that I saw This is Spinal Tap at the theater when it came out. I experienced first hand kids walking out of the theater talking about how bad the band sucks, thinking it was real... I guess some things never change.
Colemans Free jazz composition shred would be similar but all brass would play smooth jazz like Kenny g and drummer would play swing like from Kind of blue
Jeez… I hope you all realize… these are joke musicians playing crazy shit over the original videos??? I mean… come on people… get a clue… It's a JOKE! WOW??? Does everyone have to be a CRITIC?
This is actual footage of Kilometers Davis, Mile's slightly eccentric brother.
Kilometers davis lolololol
He lived in Europe.
After that concert Miles decided that hallucinogenics wasn't really his thing. He didn't quiet get the effect John Coltrane was talking about.

This can be made into a totally new song , something like dark jazz, i like it, the trumpet volume just nice with reverb.
free-form jazz is what thid'd be only this sounds better than most free-form jazz I've heard
Fantastic and brilliant. I was dying laughing with the surrealism of it all.
this is some david lynch shiz
Such a sombre tune. Miles was indeed a genius.
thanks for the sense of humour and Music!
"put on the sepia tone, boys"
I love how it sounds like giant shower when he let's loose the spit valve, LOL!
This could be on bitches brew.
+deetgeluid I think it was!
+deetgeluid :D :D
+deetgeluid Damn Coltrane fan.
@jemimallah as someone who plays sax this sounds exactly like bitches brew lol. Not much sense there from Miles.
The loud crashing and color change at 2:57 makes me laugh every time!
the music really starts to cook at that point too! Too bad the video didn't go on for longer after that :\
Yeah it does. It actually turns into more a more smooth jazz style!
apparently, they mic'd his spit valve
Lolol
Une version qui fera date dans l'histoire du jazz.... Bravo
Someone should take a real video of free jazz, and post it saying it's a shred, even though it isn't, and see if anyone notices.
They definitely would notice
not necessarily
theepicknick Free jazz isn't "random"
I know. However, most people don't know that, so they may not be able to tell the difference.

This is the most inspiring shred I've ever seen...
The best form of flattery is parody and this is excellent. Loved it. Miles would have cracked at this.
People that is Joke..... don’t you u derstand????? Dah.... good job author!!!! Hilarious. Спасибо
Stanley Crouch: "Hey, I told you that Bitches Brew and all that was Miles selling out! You think that crap's far out, this is practically John Cage in comparison!"
All joking aside... have you seen the paws this bassplayer has? 1:40
Omg. How did our grand parents listen to *that*??
You KNOW this is fake, correct?
Brad Buckner no its not man that's really miles.
Brad Buckner You know he knew it was fake, correct?!?
S Charlesworth You know he knew that he knew this is fake, correct?!?!?
gkoornhof You know he knew that he knows this is a fake, 'rite? or?!?
I call this avant garde at it's best.
I've heard so much about him. I thought he should be better
This is jazz. It's the notes you DON'T hit that make the song. You're just listening wrong.
@@GarrettAbbey Buahahahahaha. Perfect. kikikikiki
"Don't touch my piano Miles!"
I love the spit valve noises.
Something like Amon Tobin, briliant..
Hahaha well done! I saw a Bitches Brew comment, love it!
Is that John Coltrane walking off in disgust? Great shred, I love the sound effects!
That's Wayne Shorter.
Ride of the Valkyries quote? 2:00
I never knew Wayne Shorter had such large feet...
and i thought Ron Carter had bigger feet!
Lol those water dripping sounds
yes, this very funny valentine sounds sadder than sad, haha and thanks

Nice work!
If peeing your pants is cool, consider me Miles Davis.
I'm dying hahaha
Dont touch my piano milessss
Funniest thing I've ever seen or heard. Demented.
mmmm, very spicy
I sang that for a jazz band concert lmao
So you have to actually play some trumpet to make those bad sounds right? Lol love this
Hey thats pretty good
BLASPEMY! I want more!!
quite spooky
Ornette Coleman shred would be weird, huh?
+MrBubblegumballs Coleman shredding would be probably 'regular' playing... :)
right?! that's-what-I'm-saying! lol
Not enough spit valve noises. You need to record a trumpet clearing it's spit valve, and the spit going into someone's face.

LOL nice Gary
+Greenguy67 : Satire is almost a lost art indeed. the facetious understatement, overstated, and so-forth...
shreds are yayyya yayayya y
Sounds like from a horror movie where the hero gets killed in a very ugly way and evil wins at the end.
I have heard bands that sound like this....
🤣
Oh please, mighty shredder video creator guy, do ornette coleman shreds!!!!
chavruta2000 there wouldnt be anything to change!
lxxwj LOL
Colemans Free jazz composition shred would be similar but all brass would play smooth jazz like Kenny g and drummer would play swing like from Kind of blue
He just has a waaaay with the ballads...
So he had an off night...
Someone misidentified an early Art Ensemble of Chicago video.
It all comes unstuck at the end. Up to then, they were playing great jazz. Then in the final few seconds they lost the plot completely.
It actually is Jazz.
Extraneous noises spoil a good attempt......
Jeez… I hope you all realize… these are joke musicians playing crazy shit over the original videos??? I mean… come on people… get a clue… It's a JOKE! WOW??? Does everyone have to be a CRITIC?
I hope you're joking...
Weird. ..sounded exactly like jazz.....
Audience, Miles was a bigot; he hates you.
ugh l hate jazz, it makes no sense
You don't really care for music, do you...
and you dont really care about sarcasm, do you....¬¬
I'll see your sarcasm and raise you one Cohen allusion.
Hahahaha
not his best.
Mile Davis . The word " Funny" is a total anigma to him. Thats why he produced naff elitist jazz. Sleepy and antisocial.
Miles Davis was so overrated.
Miles Davis stinks.
