    should have spike pedals & side pads.

    I read through the comments and see a bunch of good advice. I have over 1600 miles on my V11 and one bit of advice I dont see is foot position. Where your foot is front to back is REALLY important to control, comfort and wobble prevention. If you are wobbling like that upon aggressive braking then your feet may be a bit too far forward (talking about an inch or less can change your riding dynamics completely) I would also like to repeat the advice about keeping your legs in contact with the wheel and carving, both of these will calm wobble.

    People are giving good advice for avoiding wobbles or correcting.
    Lower psi will help avoid but it’s still possible to get wobbles.
    Some people suggest speeding up, I personally slow down with a deep brake, bring my center of gravity very low behind the wheel and yank it out of the wobble.
    Some people suggest carving, that can work too.
    The important thing is to interrupt the resonance cycle. So you have to change something about your weight distribution.
    The worst thing to do is nothing.

    Everyone has his own trick to deal with that. When I brake hard, I squeeze the wheel hard with my calves. I always squeeze lightly when I'm on bad roads so that I can squeeze hard in a moment's notice when it starts to wobble or I took an unexpected jump after a pothole. I ride mostly around 45 km/h , rarely above 50 on my MSX, at those speeds it works wonder.
    Nice to see you were safe, gears make falls like that only a slight learning lesson and not a dramatic hospital run.
    Ride safe brother 💪

    Ah the dreaded death wobble. Had a few in my lifetime, mostly in the beginner stages. One was particular bad (like yours) but I managed to recover from it by simultaneously slowing down & squeezing the heck out of the wheel (with calfs ofcos). Its good you weren't hurt & wheel wasn't damaged (much). If it were me, I'd a recap analysis of what happened & come up with plans A & B next time it happens. & it will happen. My S18 consistently wobbles esp going fast downhill but I've learnt to handle it as normal.

      I've only been using EUC for more than 2 months, I still have a lot to learn, especially overcoming the wobble

    •  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm practicing fast halt on my S18, what you described as a recovery from wobble is actually the only way I found it's possible to brake aggressively in a safe manner. Maybe I do something wrong, but if I'm not squeezing the wheel during an aggressive brake, it always wobbles VERY hard. With squeezing, there are absolutely no issues and actually the EUC is stopping in an incredibly short distance.
      Of course I'm also lowering center of mass by "sitting down" in the air during the process, and if I'm going really fast, I tend to first decelerate slowly and then do the aggressive brake. I guess the latter is an unconscious reaction since I experienced a cutout on my wheel. Not sure a cutout is possible on flat ground during braking but honestly I don't want to find out by myself. :D
      Also, S18 is pretty light compared to its top speed, I'm not sure I'd do as well on a 35kg wheel. Guess I'll find out when S20 is released. :)

    Accelerating when it starts wobbling like that tames the wobble right down if you have the room in front of you. Then just reapply lighter breaking and try again.

    This looks extremely close to the one real wreck I have had on my V11, and it took me a while to decide what it was that I thought caused the wobble and crash. Looking back at data for that day, and then comparing to some live tests I did... I am 90% sure the wobble was induced when I braked too hard and overpowered the wheel. It seems to destabilize when pushed to it's max, and that day I was very much beyond it's rated capacity for sure. The slow braking of the V11 really makes me want a more powerful wheel. Going faster is great, but it's the stopping quick enough that really frightens me when I ride around cars and people. They can pull in front of you, or slam on brakes, much faster than the wheel can stop!

    I figured out how to get into a wobble: bend your knees and move your center of mass forward, you will get that wobble, like a shopping cart front wheel. If you want to avoid the wobble make sure you are centered over the wheel and keep your legs straight or almost straight, if you start wobbling shift your center of mass.

    I don't think spike pedals would prevent you from fall. I see that when wheel started to wobble you focused on standing on pedals while instead you should have tuck the wheel between your legs VERY tight and that should help itself to cancel it out or if not than while gripped between the legs force it to change the direction with considerable force - that would put it off balance and cancel the wobble. Instead you loosened your grip on the wheel completely which allowed it to wobble and with each period it gets stronger. You have to think of wobble as resonance in which amplitude of motion is getting increased with each swing - no spikes on pedals will help you.

    • @erriensaputra6890
      @erriensaputra6890  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree with your opinion, my feet are trying too hard to grip the wheel. The condition of the road is that the downhill is about 20 degrees, the point is that I have only used the EUC for more than 2 months, I am still a newbie, I have a lot to learn 😁🙌

    • @michup86
      @michup86 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@erriensaputra6890 actually same here. I've V11 as my 1st wheel for 3 months and about 500km on it. Keep it up!
      Look at your replay when wheel starts to wobble you put your upper body down which is beneficial on its own because you lower the center of gravity but look at youre knee's at the same time they moved away from the wheel and just before the fall they were like couple cm off. Thats why you fall.
      I get wobbles sometimes few times per minute. Small but still. you need to learn to recognize and overcome fast. They will show up more on 40kmph+.
      Always have a light pressure on a wheel via both legs and if you turn right than pressure more with left leg and band a left knee into the turn. You should feel the contact with the wheel on whole leg.
      You can also practice to forcefully move wheel left and right as you go straight by tucking it tight with both legs and literally force it to strafe left or right - you will be surprised how much force you can use on the wheel with your legs with proper grip and that it will comply with rapid strafe movement to the left or right. You can use that to avoid something on the road very quickly or to cancel wobble. Basically when it happens you force wheel to strafe left and right and go against that wobble rhythm - you will feel that you go against considerable wobbling force and it may feel intimidating at first but that is what you have to do and you will be doing it often because wobbles are just part of the ride on higher speeds.

    • @michup86
      @michup86 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      another thing that often upsets the wheel and turn into wobble is wind and wind from cars passing you. Something to consider.
      Many people like to lower tire pressure which decrease the range but makes the ride easier. If you think about it the reason is because you are actually standing on a tire. This means that if you turn you put some force via youre body to reshape the tire to make it turn.
      Thia force also works the opposite. When the tire touches on uneven ground it will shape to it and translates it back into your body and you need to overcome those force's or you will fall or change the direction unintentionally. That's why at least for me it was scary when for the first time I was about to ride through places where there was a climb but i was challenging it not straight but from the side. For example if left side was lower then the right side than wheel has tendency to lean to the left because right side of a tire is trying to lift you up so you start to fall to the left.
      To overcome this you have to anticipate and bend a bit to the right to keep yourself straight up.
      So, for me it helped a lot to think I'm standing on the tire and I need to shape it to my demand abd anticipate when it tries to do the same. When you start to think like that you will realize that when it doesn't want to comply than you just need to use some force and it will take a second to reshape the tire - and you can literally feel it fights back and than gradually change into your bidding. So, there is some delay between what you ask it to do and it happening. Overall its very fast but the speed will vary on many conditions and you have to manage that time delay to be better rider.
