INTRINSIC MUSCLES OF HAND 1 opponens pollicis isndeep to FPB and APB 2 opponens pollicis is attached to 1st metacarpal , all rest thenar muscles attach to phalanx As it is attached to metacarpal , it can rotate the metacarpal .. 3 base of 1st metacarpal fracture is benett fracture , so in benett fracture , opposition of thumb impaired , 4 grave yard of ulnar nerve - adductor pollicis , that's ulnar nerve comes here and ends ... 5 opponens digiti minimi attached to 5th metacarpal .. 6 one of the hypothenar muscle is subcutaneous i.e. palmaris brevis ... 7 lumbricals arise from FDP tendon And insert on extensor tendons so , Causes flexion at MCP and extension at IP 8 palmar interosseei are unipennate and dorsal interoseei are bipennate PAD - palmar interosseei for adduction 9 middle finger has no palmar interosseei 10 ist and little finger are devoid of dorsal interoseei 11 middle finger - double dorsal interoseei 12 all interosseei are supplied by ulnar nerve
