I was homeless, did drugs, went into prison, where I got to know God. He changed my life. Now I have a home, a wife and a lovely year old daughter (zoe), and a stream of income that gats me $47,000 weekly. Plus a new identity - a child of God, Hallelujah!!!🇺🇲❣️❣️

And also, when people deny the sovereignty of God they are saying that a few sinners and the snake are the ones who destroyed God’s plan, lol, THAT IS NOT WHO MY GOD IS; MY JESUS CREATED EVERYTHING AND EVERYTHING WAS CREATED THROUGH HIM. Which means, He has a plan, people, and God is sovereign over it all, and if you need to have a God that you can understand, then you aren’t aiming high enough. As usual, Piper is truly blessed. Thank you, Mr. Piper!!

"...If you can't figure a few things out like 'How can God be sovereign and rule over all things and himself not be a sinner' then live with that..." is itself the crux of the issue. Most people who are genuinely born again yet reject God's full sovereignty over all things do so precisely because they CANNOT live with that.
God is sovereign and rules over all things and is yet not a sinner because:
    1. God planning sin is not sinful because he planned that sin be for good purposes rather than just to pour out wrath for no reason other than exercising power and anger. God planned sin and allows it previsely and only so that his love in sovereign grace and mercy is shown when he saves us heroically.
    2. God planning sin is not the same as him directly moving into his creatures minds and hearts to influence them to sin. God created Lucifer and allowed him to sin and become Satan so that he could use Satan as the influencing spirit to bring about evil and then humiliate and defeat Satan by frustrating all his efforts and delivering sinners from his power according to his plan. So all of Satan's actions are on a leash because he can't influence people to do any evil that does not have a place in God's plan for the purpose of God dealing with that sin in redemption and justice, which he would not and could not do if he himself were directly causing the evil within his plan.
    3. God would be maniacal to plan sin then delight in it as it's happening and then turn around and condemn it in contradiction to that delight. So thankfully even though God planned sin he NEVER EVER delights in it as it's happening and he has already planned with perfectly precise calculations when and how to deal with each sin and the way that his loving, righteous nature is shown in response is what God delights in, NEVER the sin. In Isaiah 53 it says God was pleased to bruise or crush his Son on the cross, but that ONLY means that it pleased God to bring salvation through that and not that the actual murderous crucifixion was pleasant in his sight. God plans things that he does not at all find pleasure in because he delights in working toward a glorious outcome in response to sin, therefore he's not a sinner in the planning stage.
    4. God condemns sinners who prefer sin and delight in their part of God's plan and actually don't want God's good purposes which their sins happen to serve, so God is not a sinner because his good purposes for the sin prevail and he deals with the sinners who don't want their sin to serve that good purpose nor for their sins to be forgiven and replaced with righteousness.
So to summarize all of that, God controls all things both directly and indirectly for good purposes, therefore he cannot be a sinner in the planning and allowing of evil things that have a place in serving those good purposes, the center of which is salvation through Jesus Christ.
This, we can and must live with when we humbly assent that God's wisdom and rights over his creation are supreme and perfect and no one deserves salvation and blessing, yet God is pleased to give it with sins taking place in the process, all of which he will earnestly and with finality deal with forever.

He does not wish for any to perish….I don’t think God planned sin but knew man would sin.

The context of that passage is the issue of "Why hasn't Jesus returned for his people if he is truly going to? What's taking him so long?" So Peter's response that God is not willing that any should perish but that all should repent and he is patient for "your" sakes, doesn't make sense if God is delaying because he intends for everyone to repent yet he already knows that many are not going to.
What Peter was saying is that Jesus has not returned because in God's patience he has decreed that many more throughout histort will be saved and added to the church so Jesus cannot return until all of his people throughout the world are brought in by grace through repentance and faith. God knows who will and won't be saved so if he were waiting for people he knows are not going to be saved before sending Jesus back then he would waiting for virtually no reason.
God does not delight in anyone perishing but he does indeed will that those who don't repent and trust in Jesus are going to perish and he knows who those are because before the foundation of the world he already decided whose names to put in the book of the Lamb who was slain before the world began.

God exists outside of this reality. So he isn't any quality within the universe, the way we would think. Anything he says or does is whatever he says or does, because he's the rule maker, and the good maker, and the bad maker, and maker of any and all reactions we have to either thing. We should all be humble, know our place, do good, and be who he made us, using our individual gifts and talents, to do God's will.
Kenaniah the head Levite was in charge of the singing; that was his responsibility because he was skillful at it.
    -1 Chronicles 15:22
A person can do nothing better than to eat and drink and find satisfaction in their own toil. This too, I see, is from the hand of God, for without Him, who could eat, or find enjoyment?
    Ecclesiastes 2:24-25
Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten thousand rivers of olive oil? Shall I offer my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
    Micah 6:7-8
It's really very simple. We're humans. Mortal. Nothing major. We have a law to live by, and simply do not live by it. Everything else in God's creation does what it's told. A rock is more genuine, and acts it's will out, free or not, doesn't matter, much better than we do. It's really that we do too much.

If God can do all things, why would God not be able to call a woman into leadership in the church?

    • @glassworks4850
      @glassworks4850 28 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

If God can do all things, why can’t he just sin? Well he can’t because that is contrary to His will. Similarly, God declared that He designed leadership role for men, and women were to remain silent in the church.

When you described how carefully you were in choosing a title for the talented woman in your ministry, isn't that just playing with words when she is leading? It doesn’t mean she does not love and respect her husband's role or other roles in the church. Why can't they both be well in the church and their marriage using their God given talents as a unit for God just as they are??? I feel I would not be who God wants me to be if I had to stuff my mouth mentally when expressing myself within my church. Why would I have to be silent and not grow through questioning or using the talents God blessed me with ? I can not be silent when God gives me a song to sing in exercising my talents in the church or my home in honoring and glorifying God. I received the Holy Spirit with my salvation and let that lead and guide me in all I do. I realize I am a sinner and constantly repent and seek to grow in my faith that I might be a better witness in my walk. God is everywhere at all times, and I don't try to separate how I witness in my job, home life, or through my church affiliation. God is there no matter my environment. Please comment on this further to increase my understanding.

@@user-jp7ee5be5l God has granted every gift to women that would be useful for the upbuilding of the Church, which includes, teaching other women and young children, they are also called to worship in spirit and in truth just like all other believers. They could be missionary workers and evangelists. But the authority in the Church as Elder/pastor, feeding the sheep of God is solely given to men.
      Scripture is clear on that.
An overseer, then, must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, prudent, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,
      - 1 Timothy 3:2
Deacons must be husbands of only one wife, and good managers of their children and their own households.
      - 1 Timothy 3:12
For this reason I left you in Crete, that you would set in order what remains and appoint elders in every city as I directed you, namely, if any man is above reproach, the husband of one wife, having children who believe, not accused of dissipation or rebellion.
      - Titus 1:5-6
A woman must quietly receive instruction with entire submissiveness. But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet. For it was Adam who was first created, and then Eve.
      - 1 Timothy 2:11-13
Whatever the Scripture says is our rule of faith.
Women are much more effective if they faithfully obey God's calling for them in other ministries I mentioned above, but not as a Pastor/Elder of the church

Free will and God’s providence. God is outside of time and know a thing from the end to the beginning. Please don’t minimize free will. God knew Eve would fail, but Eve chose to fail. Saying free will doesn’t matter in theology is inaccurate.

      English Standard Version
10 declaring the end from the beginning
and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand,
and I will accomplish all my purpose,’
God is outside of time and holds all things in his hands. God is absolutely sovereign and in His sovereignty decide for mankind to have free will.
