As everyone said, there should have been more nostalgia since this is a 50th celebration. I wanted Walts voice, Mickey, some songs from the classics. Missed opportunity here

Wishes and Happily Ever After told a story, they took you on an emotional journey building up to the finale. This felt like a clip show
Perfect definition. There is no story... It's like a clip in a big screen, with fireworks.

Yeah, it rarely dug deep into Disney's pre-renaissance, so it didn't FEEL like anniversary celebration or celebration of the whole. Just the latest clip show.

I am heartbroken after seeing all the new shows. I retract every ounce of praise I ever gave Josh D’Amaro. He and Chapek are literally stripping the heart and soul out of Disney. They are just flat.

No chills. No goosebumps. No tears. That is not a Disney nighttime spectacular we are used to. Tink's part was very anti-climactic. I appreciate Harmonious more after seeing this.
I saw that too about Tink, it was very underplayed and seemed like the cue was WAY off.

I agree. With all the hype I was assuming more unique fireworks or more laser light tricks. It feels like the same show just different music. I'm still a huge fan of Fantasmic. I don't remember Disney ever announcing a sponsor with other shows.

You're exactly right, one thing it's missing is that super magical Disney feels of music, no classic connection with Mickey and classics. Bunch of Moana, coco and random songs that don't grab your heart like in fireworks past. They're missing magic plain and simple
Not what I expected. I expected Walt's voice narrating some, and Mickey, more of the older characters over time, wish they had used the actual character voices from the movies. And Tinkerbell seemed like she was just thrown in there. It would have even been nice to hear Jimminey crickets voice, have Tinkerbell start the fireworks like it was years ago. Would have loved to hear more of the classic when you wish upon a star and a dream is a wish your heart makes. It's Cinderella's castle and nothing with her in it! Really disappointed in Disney on this one.

I completely agree. I think for the 50th,these fireworks should have been nostalgic based, like classic magic Kingdom, from the roots of how it started, like what EPCOT forever did. Like the classic things you would see and hear, and have a few IPs here and there to guide the show, but not feel like it is making it the entire personality. This show and Harmonious, I think and a lot of ppl think, lack a story. The way WDW and disney fireworks work is through the ability to visually tell a story with different themes, like what HEA did. Tug at the heartstrings, add some action, proving that you belong, etc. Like if this had a unique story with that nostalgic touch, I think it would be much better

Happily Ever After was going to be hard to top and IMO they didn’t. It’s “meh” in my book.
100% at some point someone remembered “Hey where is tinker bell gonna fly?” and they just decided how about after a random line in a verse that ends with “fly.”
When you are actually there, the music and overwhelming excitement takes over..Whenever those shows start, I start to cry happy tears..watching today and also watching GMA’s live coverage, tears were flowing. Can’t wait to take our new grand daughter next year. She’s not due till December so I guess we will have to wait but I miss it ❤️🤍🖤
the other shows and Disneyland affected my through the TV screen, because they have heart.
I never had the opportunity to watch HEA in person. And as soon as I watched that on youtube, I had tears. It was amazing. This just didn't do it for me and I won't be pushing myself to stay late at the park to watch it if we are tired like I would of HEA.

HEA is an experience. Seeing my mom crying while we were all in front of walt will always remain with me.

The first time I saw Wishes as a grown man with my two children, tears fell from my eyes as my emotions got the better of me.
I just watched this and was like....meh.

My favourite is still ‘Wishes’…….I’m not a lover of the graphics on castle, as you have to be right in front of it to get best effect. I agree about using original songs……to me the whole part of it was to join in and sing along !! Also, it seems there are less fireworks too !
Thanks for sharing Enchantment with us! I have to agree with the comments on this. I didn’t really feel anything from this. It did feel kinda meh. But I don’t want to sound like I’m complaining. Wishes is still by far my favorite.
Its seems more Disney spirit was put into Stakehouse 71 than this show. HEA has to return. Enchantment seems like someone just presses play and reads a news paper until its done. Its on auto-pilot with no emotion.
Don't like the new show but great quality recording, best I have seen so far.
Since they released info about the new show, I was heart broken. I was terrified for the released of HEA when it came out but It ended up being the best upgrade since Wishes. It left me in tears, the feeling of empowerment was always overwhelming. Every second of it and Wishes, was spectacular. I was very disappointed, underwhelmed. Was only showing repeated characters, not much of a 50th ann. NO goosebumps. I found the narration and the voices pitchy. There was no big ending, nothing. The firework show has always been my favorite memory at Magic Kingdom, it's my happiest place hearing the boom and sounds from the show, now I don't think I will send a huge amount of money to see this, it'll hurt to much. Honestly would have better to play HEA Disney. I'm not trying to say it was horrible, but especially for it being the 50th ann, it just wasn't it and I won't be going until after the18 months

I actually really liked it for what it was. HEA was top tier, hard to beat that. But we also said that about wishes, both great shows. I believe over time this will be loved. I think it has to do with the short term life span of HEA that has everyone a little bitter but idk haha. Just sharing my opinions. Anyways, great video Dev! Such good quality!! Cinematography was on point!
The protections were beautiful and so we’re the fireworks. My complaint is the music, I wish they were sung by the original artists that sang our beloved Disney songs, some of the songs I didn’t even recognize. And I miss Jimminy cricket and Tinkerbell. For me it just didn’t have that feeling that I get every time watching HEA

Dev, excellent photography work with the 4K and the sound in stereo from my computer was spot on. I watch a TV station's showing earlier in the night and the colors were washed out and hard to see. One I wish, if you could ever get a second camera just focused on the castle and do a picture in picture it would be something else. Very, very good work for an unedited piece!!!!

You can’t even watch the Disney Parks video like Harmoinious (which is still posted to watch). Wonder why they took it down 🤔. I was gonna watch it after I got off work at the hospital (and I saved it to watch later…but now it’s marked as a private video).

rewatching this and I must admit I REALLY love the “you are the magic” song, I thought the beginning and finale of this show with that song was fantastic. the transition to Soul was amazing as well, along with the projection and fireworks. however, I agree with others that it was lacking something. I think for me I was expecting more songs and to have them be sung in its original form like we’ve heard for the most part for happily ever after. they should’ve done more within the middle portions of the show imo

Dev, Disney needs to hire you. I tried watching on their youtube channel last night and their camera angels were terrible and too far away to see the detail of the projections on the castle. I do like that they added new movies like onward and Soul but that and the fireworks are the only positive things I can say. It's celebrating 50 years, why no projections of Walt Disney himself or the FAB 5, or steamboat willie. Why do they use covers of the original songs? Disappointing would be an understatement. The music doesnt fit with the projections or line up well with the fireworks. It doesn't feel magical at all, no emotion. Happily Ever After almost had me in tears, even when watching it on youtube, bc it's so beautifully done. Enchantment does nothing for me t all

I will go out and say, I actually really like the look of this one. I’m not there till late 2022 but I can already see by this video as usual Disney have put all out with the show. Non stop fireworks, great visuals, yes from me.
I do really enjoy this show and know that I will fall in love with it overtime! The best update are the projections going down Mainstreet! I love it! Thanks Dev!✨

Dev, thank you for sharing this. I’m so glad you didn’t edit anything out. You filmed it perfectly. That being said, this fireworks show is completely underwhelming and terribly disappointing. There’s nothing here that brings a tear to my eye or makes me feel empowered. Where’s the nostalgia? What’s the theme? Where are the vintage Disney sounds and characters? Why not acknowledge Walt and Roy?
I guess their better imagineers were busy working on Harmonious in Epcot. Now THAT’S worth the wait.
I remember seeing this show when my class went on a trip, it was so beautiful, my friend started crying tears of joy 🥹
Things I liked:
- The integration of the bunting and ribbons into the projections
- Inclusion of "We Know the Way"
- The fireworks are nice.
Things I didn't like:
- The fireworks at the beginning are unnecessary and LOUD. Of course fireworks are loud, but all I heard was "quiet singing" BANG! "quiet singing " BANG! "quiet singing" BANG BANG BANG!!! They should have started fireworks a little later, when the music was loud enough to cover up the sound of them going off.
- The animated figures are much too small and too concentrated into the middle of the projections. If you're not in the hub or there are taller people in front of you, you won't see any of them.
- The absolute lack of any of the classic animated films, or live action films. If you watched this you'd think Disney didn't make a movie before the late 1950s, or ANY live action films. Or involved Mickey Mouse - or Walt Disney! For your average "Hooray for Disney animated movies made recently", it's OK. For a special once-only celebration of 50 years of WDW, it fell short.
- Why is this called "Enchantment" and not "You Are The Magic"? It seems like the latter phrase was emphasized more in the lyrics.

Thank you for this Dev, beautifully shot! The livestream last night was wonky with their technical issues so definitely had an effect on my first viewing/reaction of this show. The music choice is okay, but the projections on the castle are stunning. As of now I think Harmonious is the stronger new show overall, but that's just my opinion. HEA was so good and full of Disney magic that my sis and I went back a second night to MK during our trip in Sept just to see the fireworks alone. This looks like any regular show you can see anywhere 🤷🏾♀️ 50th anniversary where 😭😭😭

Great video! This was an ok show. I loved Wishes and Happily Ever After! I was hoping for nostalgia, but I never got that feeling for this being the 50th anniversary fireworks show. Hearing music with the performances of the original cast would have been so much better - I keep hearing Robin Williams sing Friend Like Me!

Loved the fact that they added Luca and soul 🥰 but I still like HEA so much more!
I like the old one way better 😭. It made me cry and have goosebumps and was just rlly magical.
I will say this. I've watched many fireworks spectaculars over the past 50 years. There's not a lot you can do with pyrotechnics and there's only so many ways you can reimagine a classic Disney tune. You can count on one original song per spectacular. That being said, I would not say any spectacular that I've watched has been so memorable that they stay with me forever but I don't think they're supposed to. I think they're supposed to inspire and uplift you in the moment you view it in person. It isn't meant to stay forever it is a changing, dynamic entertainment. In 18 months Disney may replace Enchanted with something else that will surely garner disapproval from many and some will say oh they should bring back Enchanted. I've enjoyed them all and I will enjoy those that come in the future.

I can't believe I'm writing this because I've been to Walt Disney World, Disneyland and Disneyland Paris loads of times, but there's something wrong with the direction the parks are going right now. The new Epcot show lacks heart and this new fireworks show at Magic Kingdom does also. I think Walt would have loved Wishes and Happily Ever After & Illuminations but the current shows might be professional don't have the emotional connection I love Disney for. Sorry to sound negative. I'm still planning a trip next year to Florida but for the first time I'm slightly hesitant and not quite as excited as in previous years.

I didn’t feel anything after watching the new fireworks show, unlike HEA, where it hit me on an emotional level.
I feel like the new fireworks show was created in order to shoehorn in movies from the last 5 years, as if they HAVE to be featured. Because RELEVANCE.
I thought it was pretty fantastic. Hopefully others will feel it as they see it more than once.
This show definitely had its pros and cons. I liked it but I feel like it should’ve been more of a tribute and historical show based off 50 years of magic. I love the song “You Are The Magic” though! I don’t hate it, it will grow on me like HEA did. There were parts that were amazing, but it didn’t flow very well. I will wait to see this in person!!!
A historical show would have been great, especially since they now are doing the Disney storytelling movie show at Epcot 🤷🏻♀️

Im hearbroken tonight. No nod to Walt or Mickey in anyway, no feels, no tears, no emotion. This is really sad to me. Bring back Happily Ever After ASAP Disney please 💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔. I almost missed Tinks flying over. This isnt the Magic we were expecting and I dont believe Im the only one to feel this way judging by the other comments. Thanks for uploading this. I can only afford going to Disneyworld once every seven years, and when I went there for this show, rain came and ruined everything. We couldn’t finish watching it, they had to cancel it.

I'm really underwhelmed by the show, happily ever after was going to be hard to top but this is supposed to be massive for the 50th anniversary, the singing is one of my massive niggles, stick with original songs because they are loved for a reason! Well done for getting this uploaded so quickly though!!!

I think that they should have brought some memories from these 50 years of story... Maybe some excerpts from the songs of the previous firework shows, to remind how special it has always been. 50 years of memories that they just left behind.

I see a lot of comments about how the 50th HEA didn’t include more nostalgia or Walt’s voice or more Mickey. You have to remember Disney loves change so you have to except them to include the old and the new even if it’s not the old you were looking for. See it in person last week and I got goosebumps and chills because It’s really beautiful Disney really knows how to tap into your inner kid ☺️

I don't understand how you can have a 50th anniversary firework show without Walt, Snow White, Cinderella, Mickey, Minnie etc... Sadly this show was super underwhelming for me.
Both epcot and magic kingdom fireworks left me less impressed. Lol I wanna leave crying from joy. They left me with... crying wishing the previous was still running

What I don't get is that they didn't see it possible to just retool HEA to feature nods to the 50th and more relevant IPs that they wanted. HEA was not broken, it didn't need to be replaced.

Fun Fact: at the pier of Fort Wilderness Campground, there’s a light show with barges full of led strips to make patterns on the lake.
At first, I didn't like it. I watched the Disney Parks stream on the 30th and was not a fan. The camera angles changed so frequently you couldn't appreciate it. Last night I watched a live stream down Main St by the flag pole and it was incredible to watch the projections travel down the whole street. Watching your video I could clearly see the castle projections.
I love Happily Ever After. That show is the reason I'm an AP. I walked out after seeing it for the first time, went right to guest services, and converted my Discover Disney ticket into an AP. It was the best fireworks show I had ever seen, but it felt like a projection show with fireworks rather than a fireworks show with projections. This show felt like a better combination of the two.
It's really growing on me. I think seeing it from different perspectives for the full show helps my appreciation of it and I'd recommend anyone on the fence to try another angle.
Beautiful show. HOWEVER for the 50th I expected Mickey to say something and Walt as well. But alas... as I said beautiful show but missed opportunity to make us cry.

Great video of an eerily subpar show. Strange times for Disney parks. I'd rather go watch the new illuminated Spaceship Earth "show" over this. That is not ok.
Loved this Dev~ thank you so much! It felt forward-moving, with a nod to the past through a few windows. And then, a magically colorful and musical journey into the future, highlighting that WE bring and ARE the MAGIC that is Disney. 🪄
