I have to say, the way that you show this where you split screen the right and left hand shots is PERFECT. If only ALL online tutorials did that and slowed down the play, not just show step by step but just play it slow and show both hands close up to see exactly what's going on is souch more easier in the learning process especially for someone who is solely learning how to play by watching tutorials such as this is a major help. Thank you so much for doing this. Instant subscriber!
Hi Dave, I just wanted to let you know , if you were ever wondering if these lessons are hitting the mark , let me just tell you, that to me these lessons are a blessing from God , I have been stuck in my pentatonic boxes for 30 something years, and nothing has moved me to learn , as much as these lessons have, I am completely grateful for what you have done, I cannot thank you enough! I am practicing your lessons every day and my playing has been getting so tasty, it finally feels like ,for the first time in my life like I have something to say on the guitar, I don’t play it as perfect as you do but. The recipe is there ! The licks sound good almost no matter how you play them! I feel like you are a good guy trying to help out us musicians The best you can, and for that , I am very appreciative, you’re playing is what I have always dreamt of in my mind of what I wanted to sound like , so you can imagine how I feel right now that , this is available to me !! and you have made it on a donation basis, so I will be definitely donating to you a hundred dollars to just say thank you , Even though I know your lessons are worth way more than that,! And If I keep up with them I will donate more! Which I’m almost positive I will, Dave THANK YOU 🙏 doesn’t say enough! This means so much to me!
after knowing pentatonic for 3 years, i finally took lessons on theory. i know where all the notes are but could never put the pieces together. until i found this video.... this opened up my mind so much man. all the pieces are coming together now after months of learning and using these licks. seriously, thank you so much man.
OMG!! Finally something I at least THINK I can play. I absolutely love this!! Please make more slow blues like this. I actually enjoyed this solo Dave. It is a solo I can visualize myself playing even when I don't have a guitar in my hand. Seriously, well done. Beautiful.
Dave. Thanks. Only heard you a few weeks ago. I like. For the last 15 years, I've played a variant of your opening riff, first, EVERY time I plug in. It sets me right. I play more alt/rock/punk, but these are the riffs that connect me to the 6 strings and piece of wood more than anything. Appreciate it. You hit the opener and then send it home..... Right on!
Thanks dude!! I think it was the Divided by 13 JRT915! Love that profile. There's a link to it in my Kemper video if you want to check it out! Thanks for watching!

This speaks to me so much more than someone playing 200 notes a minute.
They both have different applications. This is a slow track. Shredding can sound great on a faster track

That tone on your Les Paul on the neck pickup is unbelievably good. What amp and pedals did you use?

Doesnt he just iterate the old greats, like clapton
The website is not working.
Thank you for letting me know I've had a few people say the same. I think I've now managed to resolve the issue! Thanks again
👏👏👏👏❤❤
How the in the fuck does one get the tabs, damn near blue screen of death
Your website is dead dude
There is a mistake in the 2nd lick dude
Should have been 15th fret bend Instead of 14th fret? My apologies! Thanks for the heads up!
You dont need to apologize! Thx for your work man, its awesome!
@@ahctnt You're very welcome dude! And thank you I really do appreciate it!
Why do people who make these videos always put the tab right where the red loading bar for the video will be? It's infuriating and stupid.
Like, do you want us to read the tab or not?
My apologies, Brad. My intention was not to infuriate you.
@@DaveDevlinMusic Haha, no worries. Maybe something to keep in mind in the future? Thanks for the music
