I switched to PC 4 years ago, and just now hopping back into ESO. Add ons are completely foreign to me. PS4 was really missing out my gosh! Thank you for this walk through, and also huge thanks for not being one of those creators that scream in my face in every video 🤣 calm and collected very nice.

I played ESO on playstation too since 2016 and the idea of AddOns was new to me and damn does it make a difference. I easily put in almost 200 hours my first month
yeah consoles are highly appealing for many aspects, but their big con is they don't get the same access to mods/addons pc gamers get. It's super sad, and I hope future consoles get access to these as tech converges over time.

Thank you SO MUCH for this! I was having all kinds of trouble with the addons and trying to get them to work. I kept Googling it and couldn't find any answers. Turned out I needed a ton of "dependencies"/"required libraries" that I wasn't aware of. Your video really helped me!
Thank you for another great video. I'm new to ESO and played about 20 hours before I realized that addons were available so I watched another video about using addons but most were at least several years old and were not very well done. I've used your videos to help me with other games and wish this video would have come up with my initial search...after struggling through the process, none of my addons show up in game so here I am again...grateful that your video was listed. I wish TH-cam would list relevant videos for channels you're subscribed to first when you search...it would help a lot. Anyway, thanks for the awesome video, now I have to fix my mistakes.
I've been looking for instructions on how to make Minion work with my ESO and downloaded AddOns. This is the first that actually gives complete instructions on how to install and make it work. Outstanding work and thank you for your help.

Played this game a few times, but never stuck around long enough to justify installing add-ons. Now I started playing with a few people and because Im gonna spend a lot of time (hopefuly) in the game I think its time for a few. Thank you for this easy to follow and understand tutorial. I was too stubborn to play with mods for a while, and my guild finally convinced me. Your video was the first to pop up, and I love the fact that you're straight forward about your instructions. You have my thanks =)
I understand the feeling. But then after I got a programming degree, I realized games are just a software program and addons are just program subroutines. The game developers give third party programmers enough information to create addons. The best and most popular addons eventually get incorporated into the game itself by the game developers. They have the entire game on their shoulders, deadlines to meet etc. They cannot finesse everything before the next release comes due. They watch the addon community to learn more about their player base. Everyone benefits.

I'm working on an Addons video -- I just have a lot of them and still refining what I find to be my favorites!
I installed it exactly as you showed, it had the glitch where it showed up blank so I restarted and it showed. It found the game file and even chose the steamapps version since that's the one I play on and it still doesn't show up in my addons list. I even tried reinstalling minion and deleting the original files and everything and it still isn't showing anything. Also I did install the proper dependencies for the two plugins I wanted and no that didn't work either.

Done the minion install eso selected but when i open the game it says there is no addon. I dont know what im doing wrong
I've been manually updating my addons for years. This seems way easier.
I have never used addons in this game and am not familiar with them at all but those lore books addons do look interesting. I’m happy to see you are playing this game. I’ve been obsessed with this game and finally got my wood elf to champion 😁

I am pretty sure addons were available on mac too some years ago. Did they make them unavailable is some recent patch, I havent played the game in 2 years and noticed the UI is a lot different now.
when i search a dependency the version it says doesnt exist what should i do download it and manually drop it into the folder?
... if you would know how much time I have spent with researching and deleting certain files / uninstalling the game AND minion to fix this and then simply relaunching the program worked for me ._. tyvm!
i have my add ons in the live and add on folder and they still wont appear in game what am i doing wrong
what should i do if i don't have a live folder in my eso folder? I load up eso with all your steps followed and I don't anything to be seen, i have installed every lib file on the market and at this point i feel like playing naked without mods

ok, how to solve this problem? my addons menu (inside game) is empty even if i have many installed
I know that this video is 2 years old but for those who are installing minion because of this video, know that Minion at the time of this comment is having issues with a recent windows update and will give you a error message saying that it cannot connect to the internet. It will say something about you having to change your proxy settings or your firewall settings. Let me save you some time and let you know that after reading forum after forum it seems everyone is having similar issues where they can't open Minion because of the error message. If you already had Minion installed and had addon also already installed you can still use them, you just can't update or add more of them.
In my opinion the solution is probably to wait for Minion to update Minion to the windows update or to stay vigilant on the forums to see if anyone finds a solution. And like I said, "at the time of this comment", so this comment might become irrelevant pretty quick. I'm just leaving it here incase someone who is trying to figure out why Minion isn't working after following this video's instructions perfectly.
If you really need the addons right now you can always try the tedious task of manually installing them. It's a bit harder than using Minion but really it's just moving files around into ESO's live>Addon file.
i cannot find any of the Lib Addons i need in order to use the add ons. none of them are in the minion app. i cant use any of these add ons

followed everthing and even got all the add ons i wanted but cant get any of them to work, apparently all the add ons are "out of date"?
i clicked install and nothing happens ... except some fake loading .
i usually download around 100mb/s then it should be in matter of seconds and yet it says downloading for half n hour and then i just quit it ...
any advice ?
