Hey dude just for future knowledge, if you're at the top of the temple thing, you can just jump off to the side and the mobs will evade and you will leave combat. I tried this a few times before getting it and never had to use vanish. Good luck out there!
As the Hunter on 08:15, yeah, I should've definitely jumped in the water. I'm still haunted by the fact I didn't. The reason I was doing Tethis 5 levels above is because I had all Quest Achievements (also running Nudist + Selfmade + NoPot + NoRepair etc), and needed "Big Game Hunter" pre-40, hence why I was doing such a stupid thing. The reason the pet had auto-growl off was to kite Tethis, and tbh I'm not sure if manually/auto-growl would be able to get threat at that point. I tried to Feign Death, multiple wing clips, as well as Magic Dust which resisted. The only thing I could've done I think, beside skipping it in the first place, would've been to jump in the water to reset the fight.
While I definitely couldn't make it that far doing all those achievements, it might be worth getting your defense up higher by letting some lower level mobs hit you before you attempt elites or just doing it every few levels. Obviously if they get into melee something's gone wrong but can be the difference between getting critted/dazed
Also you could of just cheesed him you know that right? Right behind where he spawns is a water spot, you can easily just cross this small "pond" on the coast and he walks back and forth trying to reach you with no evade. I did this achievement on my hunter this way but i was only going for big game hunter not nudist and stuff. Its worry free if you can get there safely

We totally underestimated the Mind Control ability and I paid for it :( I had a screenshot of the combat log after the video but they cut it in the montage. What actually killed me is the Deep wound that was triggered by the crit. It was ticking for 1270!!! dmg per tick. Seems there is a broken interaction between Boss' mind control abilities that buff damage (400% in Jammal'an's case) and deep wounds causing deep wounds to double dip and also get multiplied by 4... but even then the math doesn't add up. Deep wounds:" Your critical strikes cause the opponent to bleed, dealing 60% of your melee weapon's average damage over 12 sec." Warrior is dual wielding. Not sure which weapon the dps warrior is using but lets use Trash blade as an example as its an extremely common choice: On my warrior with 204 strenght: 176-235 damage = 205 average damage. 400% damage buff: 205x4 = 820 avr weapon damage. 60% of 820 = 492 Deep wounds double dipping 400% again:492x4 = 1968 damage over 12 seconds. Deep wound ticks every 3 seconds should then be: 1968 / 4 = 492dmg per tick A far cry from the 1270dmg/tick observed. Im confused, perhaps I'm totally missing something and someone can correct my math? Anyhow, bit sad about that one but lets go agane once official servers drop! See you all there :)
You calculated using average damage when deep wounds is only applied from critical strikes. And on the double-dipping part you calculated with just 400% again rather than 2x400 = 800%. Very unfortunate death x(

You can quite easily swim from grom'gol without encountering any mobs (vid guide on my channel) jumping out of the zepp seems like an unnecessary few minutes time saver which potentially turned into hours wasted. Does look like a thrilling plunge into the unknown though 😂

@@KingJerbear The mobs were like 15 sec next to him semi attacking priest, if priest PC really bugged out that is unfortunate but he was still moving so at the very least I would try to cc the mobs with frost nova + CoC + maybe even cold snap and another frost nova to buy tank time to get aggro on them. Good for him for saving the warrior, but he didn't help the priest at all.
The tooltip for his Shield Wall macro is misleading. The ability is on a shared cooldown with Retaliation and Recklessness. Those 2 abilities show 12 min remaining on the cooldown, so Shield Wall would not have been available. He could have Hamstring -> Fear -> Def Stance or Hamstring -> Target Dummy -> Def Stance. If he hadn't used any abilities on the mob after the Target Dummy (especially if he was in Def Stance) he would probably have survived.
After almost 20 years, people still make the same rookie mistakes. Running with their backs to mobs, continuing to attack them them for infinite leash, getting dazed & panic-clicking ESCAPE. It's insane how many high level warriors die in berserker stance WITH SHIELD WALL OFF COOLDOWN & health pots + bandages in their inventory. People just full on panic blank. All their "training" goes to nothing as soon as it gets slightly stressful.

I get why locks like the succubus for the extra damage but VW is so much more dependable and you get sacrifice. so many of these deaths could be avoided by using one.
Also going demo instea of affli like triples your survivability. Sure you kill a *bit* slower but playing as demo with a vw you are pretty much indestructible
I agree, he should have gone defensive stance by the time he dropped the target dummy, but I can't help but notice that the mob probably would have leashed within 1-2 sec after he used Piercing Howl if he'd refrained from using that.

Kitting away wouldn't have saved me at that point unfortunately. :(

HC is starting to get boring kinda. The fad was great but, it's time is going to be over by the time official HC drops. Reaaaaaalllllllyyy with Blizz would just launch classic servers for many expansions. Launch servers in the final phase with all content released. Then we can play Classic vanilla first, then at 60 once youre bored of raiding swap up to classic TBC, then at 70 same thing, once youre bored swap up to the WOTLK , then to Cata, and finally to MoP. This is the ultimate dream. If not having it be seperate servers, do a super season of mastery. 15 months. 3 months of each expansion. Start every expansion at the final phase so we can enjoy all the content and do every raid for that expansion. Make it so you have to still finish the raids in order from phase 1 to 5 so theres a reason to do them all. Theres so many cool things they can do, but they refuse to, they refuse to do anything close to 'exciting' and HC official vanilla fresh servers ARE DEFINITELY NOT GOING TO BE 'IT' unless they make serious changes and edits.
Its just a fad streamers are hyping because there has been 0 wow related content for a long time now that would generate millions of views, so they are reaching as far as possible. When this dies, something else will be brought up by the degenerate streamers

Where Health potion? Where healthstone? How did you get to 34? and Mirkulhc did not even hotkey seduction. This is why warlocks don't make it to 60. They play as hunters, they never use the non-damage abilities of their pets.

Hard agree. Also considering the minions are a relatively small percentage of your overall damage it makes even less sense.
seduction is better than VW in all of these fights. Take out the second healer, don't die at all.

If not having it be seperate servers, do a super season of mastery. 15 months. 3 months of each expansion. Start every expansion at the final phase so we can enjoy all the content and do every raid for that expansion. Make it so you have to still finish the raids in order from phase 1 to 5 so theres a reason to do them all. Theres so many cool things they can do, but they refuse to, they refuse to do anything close to 'exciting' and HC official vanilla fresh servers ARE DEFINITELY NOT GOING TO BE 'IT' unless they make serious changes and edits.
