HOW TO TURN ON BACKPACK ANIMATION (OUTDATED): Disable “reliable animations” in your MO2. Re enable “backpack animations” in FDDA in MCM Might have missed some details, but I will probably end up making an overview on how to do this (very easy) since it is frequently asked. Edit: this is highly discouraged due to the “busy hands” glitch which can literally brick your save. I risk it all for the immersion. I am aware of the dangers lol
god i wish this game had subtitles, the interactions between stalkers is so immersive and sometimes even funny, like how i shot some poor stalker in the groin with a toz 34 and he yelled that "i blew off his tomatoes" (direct translation) before groaning helplessly on the ground. i actually felt so bad that i left some advil next to him before walking away.
@@ohdoink I dont think the save can ever be unbricked unless you uninstall the mod. Load back into it without the mod. THEN reinable/install the mod and go into debug and if it doesnt brick the debug it should be safe to go into a real save.

I bricked my save with busy hands then reloaded an older save without all the mods enabled and reliable anims back on and it seemed to be fixed. Tbh I just play in debug and never turned it off in case I glitch into the ground while stash hunting or something

I really enjoyed the beginning of the playthrough, anyway i should point out that you should always leg meta with buckshot, the armored enemies become much more easier that way. If you have time to line up a headshot on helmetless enemy try that too.
Re not reloading when you thought you did: I do this to myself a lot more than I'd like, and with various guns. It does indeed happen if you holster or swtich away from the weapon before the reloading animation is complete.
Yup yup, tends to happen with the double barrels more than any other gun - and the toz bolt action gives me a lot of trouble in between shots when I panic and try to fire faster than the gun can handle
Hey man, 1 big tip for the performance is making sure that there are no windows or apps open on your main Monitor. I been playing for weeks and had the same problem. Random 40 fps when i open the game, I put my discord window on my other monitor and it was. 100+.... Shit you not, give it a try. Great vid too ❤️

Dushman isn't the boss, it's Aslan on the top floor. Dushman is just one of the merchants. You can tell who a faction leader is when it gives the option "I want to switch factions". But this is the true Merc experience. Everybody pretty much wants to kill you, and you don't start with amazing equipment and zombies as allies (like Monolith), but at least Freedom is an ally to Bandits and Merc so they're usually pretty great to trade with and Army Warehouses (Freedom base) is linked to Dead City. Great video though!

The trick for iron man is knowing you’re supposed to die, and it’s the thrill of trying your best every second makes it fun. Not being attached to your gear but being interested in the stories you can tell is where the gold is. As for mods, I mostly use default GAMMA stuff but I love adding magazines for added difficulty and realism. Other than that, GAMMA in itself is a very solid experience on its own.

Every single time! That stupid sawn off toz 66 reload doesn’t finish like I think it does and gets me killed. One of the first things I do is that last dawn mission for clear sky where you defend the pump station and I’ve died so many times there because I think my sawn off is loaded. One of the reasons why I prefer starting with the 34 sawn off

Gamma is held up as somehow the most authentic Stalker experience or some shit…yet I dont remember when the hell it ever made sense for a member of the merc faction to be stuck with a shitty double barrel and pistol like everyone else for hours upon hours of a playthrough…
This has often irritated me too. For fun sometimes I make a new file starting with ammo and an M4 or a decent NATO submachine gun. I think it’s the desperate grind that makes people think it’s authentic but honestly I’m looking to make a base anomaly modlist that I enjoy that’s less grindy and hard just for the sake of being hard
It doesn't make much sense, but I think of it as being a completely green recruit. They're not gonna give you expensive shit when you're completely unproven. (This is just me making excuses cuz I love the early game of scrappy fights with a rusty pistol and a sawn off with 3 cartridges left)

Yo uh, to clear up somethings, the *mercs are not Americans*, even if GAMMA portays them as such, it's unknown where they come from, they do come from a lot of backrounds, a lot of countries but mainly Europe since they have acces to NATO weapons and armor (even if stupid GAMMA doesen't allow you to get armor and guns as the UNISG or the Mercs not being able to get armor with is supplied by they contractor no matter what by the lore) the thing that the Mercs are Americans is head cannon (what the fan thinks and not the actual cannon events). The SIN and UNSIG factions were cut from the main games so they remain head cannon tho i can agree with it since there have been references in the main games about thoes (mainly in the files)
I understand the mercs come from a wide variety of backgrounds - I am an American and I tend to rp in open world games as myself, a silly man in a not so silly place (the zone). Lore wise I get frustrated with the no gun system as well so I am trying to make a base anomaly modlist currently. Also, I knew SIN was cut but I had no idea UNISG was cut! That’s pretty neat. Be sure to keep dropping knowledge on stalker lore for me as I am still learning! Appreciate the info!
@@ohdoink I did not mention UNSIG being a cult since UN-United Nations SIG- Scientific Group (or something along thoes lines) also idk if i did but it's definetly not a cult but a organisation rather like the Clear Sky in combination with the Mercenaries (the term "Mercenaries" is wrongfully used since the UN has banned all the said Mercenaries and now have been replaced by PMCs (like Blackwater, Wagner, and some more. Basically the same thing but sweetened up for the UN to allow) PS: I'm a retard for: "SIN and *UNISG* are cults" but i was typing that at 1 am so really i was typing blind half asleep
I didn’t add many besides small QOL ones, and Arrival (which I do not have on anymore due to performance and balancing issues). For the most part I play with an altered default GAMMA list And I’m happy you enjoy the content 💕

You can go into a debug map in the launcher if you want to test it and not brick your save

Made the mistake of starting in Wild Territory as a merc on my first GAMMA playthrough. I instantly died of radiation poisoning.
I’ve literally done this so many times - spawn in at that stupid little campfire just to immediately start coughing up your lungs… good times

I've tried to get them to work but it never does
I ended up redownloading fdda and the fdda backpack mod and disabling reliable animations. That brings the option back in your MCM

No it’s within the modpack, you just have to enable it and disable some mods in MO

Mags Redux and turned off gamma economy and BAS injection (already in your mod list for gamma)

Is the mag thing new or something you choose to add ? i didnt get the latest mod update so im a tad behind on Gamma
It’s within the mod organizer you can turn it on and you have to turn off a few mods - unjam reload on same key is one to turn off for sure

Yo uh, to clear up somethings, the *mercs are not Americans*, even if GAMMA portays them as such, it's unknown where they come from, they do come from a lot of backrounds, a lot of countries but mainly Europe since they have acces to NATO weapons and armor (even if stupid GAMMA doesen't allow you to get armor and guns as the UNISG or the Mercs not being able to get armor with is supplied by they contractor no matter what by the lore) the thing that the Mercs are Americans is head cannon (what the fan thinks and not the actual cannon events). The SIN and UNSIG factions were cut from the main games so they remain head cannon tho i can agree with it since there have been references in the main games about thoes (mainly in the files)
I understand the mercs come from a wide variety of backgrounds - I am an American and I tend to rp in open world games as myself, a silly man in a not so silly place (the zone).
Lore wise I get frustrated with the no gun system as well so I am trying to make a base anomaly modlist currently.
Also, I knew SIN was cut but I had no idea UNISG was cut! That’s pretty neat. Be sure to keep dropping knowledge on stalker lore for me as I am still learning! Appreciate the info!
@@ohdoink I did not mention UNSIG being a cult since UN-United Nations SIG- Scientific Group (or something along thoes lines) also idk if i did but it's definetly not a cult but a organisation rather like the Clear Sky in combination with the Mercenaries (the term "Mercenaries" is wrongfully used since the UN has banned all the said Mercenaries and now have been replaced by PMCs (like Blackwater, Wagner, and some more. Basically the same thing but sweetened up for the UN to allow)
PS: I'm a retard for: "SIN and *UNISG* are cults" but i was typing that at 1 am so really i was typing blind half asleep

I didn’t add many besides small QOL ones, and Arrival (which I do not have on anymore due to performance and balancing issues). For the most part I play with an altered default GAMMA list
