Another good guide. This is also my favorite build because I can't rely on healers in QM. But I am pretty sure you forgot to mention how to use his trait. We know what it does, but a newbie might not realize it heals so much.
I'm glad you brought this up. I wish I would have mentioned it in the video because I was abusing it. Dehaka's trait is what allows him to be such a strong bruiser. His healing in a 1v1 lane is so consistent and easy to use that it doesn't feel fair. Thank you for mentioning this
great plays, extreme blast to watch you pulling them off. abathuf and tychus in the comp did you a lot of favors tho and falstad shouldve (couldve would’ve) laned against you
Finnaly covering one of my favorite heroes, thank you for your work. What are your thoughts on the dark swarm build? I enjoy playing it, but I dont know how impactful it is compared to the build in this video.
I do like to run W build but it is pretty situational for me to stray from this build. It would have to be cursed hallow (because of all the bushes near team fights) and if my team needs more damage than tankiness.
In your graph with all the heroes, dehaka is on the side of tanky & wave clear, and not damage. What made you decide that he doesn't do enough damage to go in the center?
Dehaka can deal a large amount of damage as shown in this video, but it is too situational to put him in the center. First off, in this video we were never behind on levels which means we were dealing 4% more damage than the enemy per level. Also Dehaka's damage really starts to ramp up after level 13. Sometimes waiting for level 13 is too long and you could have already lost a large amount of resources. Additionally, all the heroes in the damage category have a good movement ability, whereas dehaka relies on bushes and tongue to get on heroes. Between all that I felt that he was better suited as just a wave clear, tank machine. tl:dr dehaka's range of abilites and damage early game is too low to put him as a damage bruiser.
In my opinion his dark swarm build is bar none his best build. No Idea why you said he only has two options at level one. Go to Icyveins and copy that build. Just walk all over them as they are grouped and punish them with unparalleled sustain from CD reduction.
Dehaka is my favourite heroes. But man hearing the way you talk and how your team know what to do...is this how I should play? Thanks for the insight😂❤
Nice Dehaka play. I see players do so well with him and I’ve tried him a few times in the past without much success but will give him a go again. Exited for this series and for Rexxar! Subscribed 👍
Another great video on being where you should be when you should be there. That steal on the top merc camp was fantastic. Knowing that they'd likely go for it and waiting to steal it and get two kills was great. However it's when you left the teamfight for bottom lane after securing those two kills that struck me the most. I likely would have tunnel-visioned on getting more kills instead. You increasing the xp lead and pushing out the lane was the better call and your team still managed to get two more kills in the meantime using the numbers advantage those earlier kills provided.
Reading where the enemy team is at is a very good skill to learn. I spend about 40% or more of the game looking at the minimap to guess what the enemy team is going to do next. Also you'll hear me say this another throughout this series, get the most xp as safely as possible. You need to be constantly asking yourself, is my time on this play worth the xp I will gain or can I get more elsewhere faster? Obviously there are stipulations but generally this is the best thing to do as bruiser.
Nice! I like the agility map where Deh can get more value acting against a solo assassin, but if you're acting as a solo yourself it's far better to build into survivability and sustain. One interesting note that I don't think a lot of people see here is that Deh in ARAM can be amazing. I usually build into Enduring Swarm and wade into cluster fights and minions. His power spikes happen a lot sooner than most people imagine (7 and 13) and he doesn't need bushes to constantly be contributing.
just did the dehaka game. The enemy butcher finished the game without full stacks lol. much better than the firestomp diablo build that i can't get to work

Always like the level of analysis you provide. You should try adding a skinergy/fashion segment into these, id love to hear your opinions!
Barbie but is actually dehaka?!? Maybe I'll try to work this into the series

Your consistent use of the abathur mines and towers to melt enemies was amazing.
Never trust teammates to deal the damage. Towers and objectives are the only true constant in HotS lol
I hope you can post more!! Thank you
With work and family life it can get overwhelming at times. I have a couple videos qued up ready to go though!

Working on Rexxar now!!

Firestomp Diablo is actually one of the best (if not the best) tank atm. You probably just can't hit enemy heroes with your W.
That was true@@soak_king
