A trick i use (AEAC's trick) is to put a straw down the muzzle to run a patchworm thru without having to remove the shroud. Works beautifully. Im anxious to see your full review.
Mine with LW barrel had an end cap on end of barrel that centered it in the shroud. Yours did not have this and appears free floating within the shroud so barrel band will have no affect on barrel.
Hi Angie loves your video's. My Benjamin Marauder arrives tomorrow 9/22/2024. I have a Hammers 3x9x40 but wanting to buy another nicer scope without breaking the bank. I looked at the 14217 Vantage 3x9x40 ir. Retired 72yrold Army veteran just still wanting to ping around. Would this be a good choice?. Somewhere in the $250 range. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks kepp up the great work I also subscribed to yoour channel.
Why is there a barrel band if it's not supposed to touch the barrel? So, it's actually not doing a damn thing! Regarding your scope mounting process - how do you assure the optic is level with the breach? I saw no levels or leveling acoutraments. Also, what about eye relief and height above the comb? I'd love to see how you make those determinations prior to instalation. Has Rick done a video on that?
That's a great point. A barrel band should do what a barrel band should do. I don't use any tools to level the optic, I mount it and make the adjustments by sight and comfort. I'm pretty sure most people follow the same procedure, I may be wrong but it has served me well so far. Thanks for your comment, I'm not sure if Rick has done a video on that specifically.
Most people might, @@airgunangie17. But, more often than not, it has to be redone. I measure things out for ring height and eye relief. Then use the Scopy Leveler Tool by ToughTacticalTools and verify with bubble levels. Only time this has failed me is when I didn't pay attention to magazine insertion.
Band is there as a safety step in case if you hit something or drop it funny way so you would not mess up barrel shroud is on outside if you bump it it gets stoped by band and protects barrel, other then that it is free floating barrel thats why shroud is not in contact with band. Make sense??🤔 right?
Benji would have had a winner in this if they pushed another 100 fps out of it. Yeah yeah it was made for FT shooting. Why it isn’t a winner in my book even if it makes what it was designed for. 😊
There is supposed to be a .22 plastic plug you use with the worm from what I have seen . Nice gun don’t care for the bolt but I sure it shoots well. Thanks Angie 😎👍🏻
Not a fan of the bolt either but there are other things with this one that make up for that. I really believe this is the quietest unmoderated air rifle I've shot. I'm thinking squirrels in the deer stand and nothing will know a thing besides the squirrel I just popped, well he won't know either.
Very meticulous commissioning of the rifle. You don't have to but I suggest cleaning the barrel with the rifle reversed like in blooper time. Speaking of bloopers.... We still owe you your promise.🤔
I'm having difficulty finding a place that sells this in Minnesota. Does anyone have a good online vendor that they trust? Do you all have experience with pyramid air?

Thanks, I do that with the Gamo guns, but didn't think to do that here 🥴
Thank Heavens something besides FX - FX - FX - ! ! !
Agreed !! I'm so sick of FX
Yeah boy thank you 😁🙏.
Exactly, I traded my three FX rifles off and now have a .22 caliber BRK Ghost and a .30 caliber BRK Ghost....I couldn't be happier!!!!
Blessings 🙏 Angie...🤗
I own one of these with the lother walther barrel and it's a tac driver
Hi Angie! I have an early version 177 marauder. great gun!
I have the first generation marauder still look and shoot like a champ
What model chronograph are you using? Thanks for the great review. Mine should deliver today.
Great stuff Angie! Look for Johnny Maks's comment! He has years of experience with the Benjamin Marauder and the Armada too.
10/4 thanks Gman!

Nice rifle and great review as usual.
Thank you!

I have been mounting scopes on rifles for more than 50 years and don't need a level to mount a scope.
@@raye7961 I'm glad that's working for you. But, when I need to dial vertically, I want it to be vertical.
Nice gun that ping sound though
There's not much sound at all. I was impressed with it. It's probably one of the quietest unmoderated gun
It has some ping sound, not bad tho.
I'm like you AA, I love the stock!! Can't wait for part two!! SHOOT STRAIGHT MY FRIENDS!!
It is gorgeous!!

Thanks Pat, not for everyone and that's okay. Thanks for your opinion, I like it!
❤nice looking gun
I want one!

Yes bolts are so yesterday .....😂🧐.
@@joedokes8641 like to see a flipper bolt instead
Anything could be an improvement ...🤔

@@airgunangie17 a biathlon bolt would be perfect on that rig.
👍👍
Pretty slow at 774 fps might have a hard time taking the squirrels out
Hon look up monkeydad's Joe's tune for the Marauder and try it you'll get more fps & fpe !! And it's real easy to do ! It only takes about 5 min.s
Thanks Tim.

That was the one I was going to direct you to, Pyramyd AIR is where I would go.
