    Nice. I have an '18 XSR and I modded nearly everything. I bit the bullet the other day and installed a Motodemic LED. Very bright and impressive.

      That's a fancy light for sure. $600 was a little steep for me. Plus... i like the retro light look. I have lots more mod videos coming. Just gotta find the time to edit the footage and post on YT. More to come. Thanks for watching and ride safe.

      @@StreetRodAZ very cool. I should have done mod vids on my bike. I've done basically everything that can be done to the bike. I really like the way it came out

    Hi, your video is very thorough, and you worked exactly as I would have. The link you provided for the light bulb is no longer good. Can you please direct me to another H4 bulb where I can separate the housing piece, or do all of them do that?

    Thanks for the video. You should look at Motodemic or Brogue headlights for mod replacing the stock headlight. The stock one is too bulky.

    • @StreetRodAZ
      @StreetRodAZ  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Oliver doesn't work with my front fairing and you can barely see the headlight with the fairing on now. Not the look i'm going for, but great brands. Checkout my Ermax Fairing video and you'll see my final result. Thx for watching. Ride safe.

    I just pulled the trigger on a brand new 2021 XSR900 (only since the XSR700s were to be found nowhere near me)...but I don't mind the 900s triple power since I do miss my 2001 R1 that I owned 18 years ago...first mod I did on the XSR9 was get the superbright LED headlamp - YES most def brighter on hi/lo's. The XSR9 headlight bucket is really shallow (not deep like the XSR7)...it was already a tight fit to get the bulbous LED heat sink section to fit...i wanna do the TST BL6 front running light/turn signal conversion, but I doubt the XSR9 shallow bucket can fit the TST wire harness adapters and the solar circuits relays! Can I fit an XSR7 bucket on the XSR9 if I need the extra room? TIA

    • @StreetRodAZ
      @StreetRodAZ  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know you can fit the 900 light on the 700, so it could be possible.

  • @JamesBrown-vt9kr

    I think you should have installed the led in the same way the stock bulb was in the headlight housing the maintain the same or stock beam pattern .

    • @StreetRodAZ
      @StreetRodAZ  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think maybe you can do that to your XSR. 👍😀

    Thanks for this infomative video, and I just have two tiny questions. 1 I didn't see the use of flasher relay and you just plug n play the flasher, is it a neccessary item for this replacement? 2. I heared that LED headlight may cause more heat when opening and have the potential to melt rubber cup/ holder around i. Have you ever met the extra hot situation after using this led light. Thank you so much.

    • @StreetRodAZ
      @StreetRodAZ  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You will need to replace the flasher relay, otherwise your indicators will blink very fast. The LED bulb produces leas heat than the stock bulb.

    Do these headlights work on a 2017 xsr700? Ive tried a vrand that assured me it would fit but the headsyncs get in the way of the clamp

  • @xpllmmff
    @xpllmmff 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi just wonder how the imsulater cup which used to cover original bulb base be put back to New led base as that one seemingly much larger

    • @StreetRodAZ
      @StreetRodAZ  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You don't need it. The LED bulb doesnt get as hot as the original bulb.

  • @jonbe9

    PS. on my new 2021 XSR900 I noticed the mounting notch for the headlights is not centered in the headlight reflector...looks like the XSR7's has the same off-centered notch (see 13:11) ....which caused the superbrightLED to be slightly rotated axially when looking at the headlight dead on. I'm a bit OCD haha. Also do you experience dust infiltration inside the headlamp since the OEM dust cover doesn't fit over the LED lamp back section?

    • @StreetRodAZ
      @StreetRodAZ  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      no dust, and i live in arizona, where it’s very dusty

    I guess there's no way to wire the front turn signals to light continuously (like the OEM markers do when they aren't blinking for turns or hazard)???

    Do you still have the same LED headlight bulb from Superbright installed in your XSR700, the link isn't working so I was wondering which one it is. does it have the fog light version.
