Some segment pitches:
you do a very serious tier list ranking of animals based on how likely you are to survive a hostile encounter with them
you do a personality quiz but answer all the questions as a character, whoever isn’t answering has to guess the character.
you spin a globe and pick a random spot on it. Then do a deep dive on that random spot and find out what’s going on there.
I literally can't imagine anything more boring to listen to than the first or third... But I love the second!

Pick a house. Give the description ie: how many bath bedroom sqft and location and the other has to guess the amount

Two segment ideas:
- A mini debate club, over some silly topic, where Jake takes pro and Amir takes anti
- A little more visual but you each mail other an outfit to wear for the pod and you open the outfit during the segment and discuss fashion choices
Zillow game should be Game Boy style meets price is right. You agree on a price beforehand, you sort all properties by cheapest, then you take turns adding a filter where you have to both raise the price of the cheapest house and keep it under the agreed price. If you don't raise the cheapest price, you have to add an additional filter. If you go over the agreed price you lose and the winner wins the cheapest house currently listed.

Make short PowerPoint presentations on whatever topic and then swap them so that the other person has to present it.
Anotha one: Randomly choose a celebrity that you can do an impression of and then improv a job interview as that celebrity.

I would personally like to hear about movies/shows/books you guys are currently interested in. I'm in a bit of a content drought these days especially shows.
ngl the in person pods are way better. It's actually kind of hard to watch this because you can just feel the delay on the mics. It just feels like forced comedy instead of the natural rapport you guys have in person. The first 6 minutes were kind of like the start of a Zoom call for work when you're talking to a coworker you barely know and are still waiting on the other people to join.

I agree about the interstitials. The intro sing is fine but then for it to keep going through out is too much. I like Jake's idea of a mix of good and bad

Not gonna lie, this Zillow stuff isn't hitting for me.
Maybe it's more relatable for Americans but I don't even know what any of the locations are like nor do I care about someone else buying a house. And I know it might be difficult, but the videos are a lot better when you're together. Not that it is bad when you're apart.

As one of last week's complainers about the musical stingers in between segments, I get that they're supposed to be self-deprecating, but it's just so on the nose and without any cleverness to it. "Haha, he called them assholes!". Okaaay? Really dislike the melody, too, but that's completely subjective, obviously.
(To be fair, I'm not a fan of these kinds of sung interruptions in general, makes it sound like crappy radio show where they go completely overboard with the sound board and dumb little jingles.)
That being said, how about a sound effect guessing segment? One person plays a famous sound effect and the other person has to guess where it's from (stuff like the Inception horns, the Super Mario jump sound, the "shit's about to go down" alarm in Kill Bill etc.)

I like segments but why does your podcast have to be some concept ? Why not just straight up have the’ Jake and Amir Podcast ‘ literally just you guys talking about random shit for an hour or 2 with a guest or something
Let the producers come up with segments instead of you two. It doesn't work and the majority of the podcast is you guys explaining the segments instead of just doing it.
