When the calf got lost in the caves but finally found his way back to the herd I literally teared up. They did a great job of representing triceratops as real animals in this.
I love the detail on the old bull you can see that there is a chunk taken out of his frill likely from a Tyrannosaurus, and considering he’s still up and kicking at 30 years old I would guess that Rex is long dead
6:45 Wow, This place is really nice, There are big meadows, There are so many forests and There are beautiful trees. Nature is fascinating and That's awesome. I like those dinosaurs very much. Their horns are sharp and Their babies are so cute. Thank you so much for this video, I really appreciate it. 🏞️😏🌲🌳🦖🦕👍
11:34 You can really see how the 30 year old male has a damage frill in his upper right side. Indicate it was once fought against a T. Rex and manage to survive. That probably the most gigachad triceratops I ever look at.
The battle between an experienced veteran and a novice with long horns was honestly very shocking. I'll be honest, I was afraid one would poke the other's eyes out.
8:14~8:15 These displays are designed to avoid physical contact. With one-meter-long horns, fighting can easily result in bad injuries. The best and the brightest frill is usually all that is needed to settle an argument. 10:07 Occasionally, showing off is not enough.....and males resort to brute force. 11:04 This young Triceratops is lucky, compared to the poor old Torosaurus who lost a horn in a duel.
@@Morrison-saber-tooth It is also a fact for Triceratops, the brow horns are extremely variable within the same species(not including age dependent variability)
I know some herbivorous dinosaurs such as brontosaurus, apatosaurus, triceratops, brachiosaurus, iguanadon, pachyrhinosaurus, parasaurs, edmontosaurus, and ankylosaurus. They were such massive plant-eating animals! 🦕
One of the most heavily armed, and armoured dinosaurs. Tell me a T-Rex wouldn’t be very wary of this herbivorous tank! I would have liked to have seen a scene where a Triceratops walks away from a fallen T-Rex.
Yeah they had some odd narrative choices in season 1, its a great depiction of what the dinosaurs looked like but not so much for the habitats, eco systems or the lives of the dinos in comparison to what we know from the fossil record. Season 2 is much better tho
How terrifying would it be if a predator showed up in the cave and they all started stampeding? No doubt there'd be injuries and even deaths considering they can't see where they're going
Broke: baby trikes should be called calves because they're big quadrupeds with horns like cattle. Woke: they should be called chicks because they have beaks and are related to birds. Bespoke: they should be called piglets because they're big, foul-tempered omnivores like wild boars.
This is the best representation of Triceratops as natural animals.
Agreed 👍
They're very deer like
Which makes a lot of sense honestly

I believe that these animals are so well recognized by pop culture yet somehow still so underrated prehistoric animals
It's because most of their time in the limelight is as _Tyrannosaurus_ fodder.

I imagine that large bull Triceratops has fought off a large number of Tyrannosaurs in his life.
tyrannosaurus was more agile smarter and larger, triceratops wouldn't even in a fight tyrannosaurus was built to be durable
Yeah, I recon he’s a T-Rex killer.

I agree with you very much, this scene is perfect to go on a safari to see these giant beautiful creatures.
T.Rex are BUILT!
Thanks David very cool

A triceratops calf, like modern baby elephants, rhinos and cows, they’re also called calfs. That’s really amazing.
Male triceratops are also called Bulls
One of my favorite dinosaurs in the ceratopsian family
Definitely the best triceratops depictions I've seen in a documentary!

2:15 i beliwe, this triceratops with very long horns is Yoshi's trike, largest known specimen of triceratops
I believe Yoshi is far from a full grown adult 💀
1:50 SO CUTE 😍🥰😚😚😚

Triceratops (Three Horned Face)
7:43 imagine you're out with the girls one night, then out of nowhere there's like 20 dudes fighting 1v1 trying to get your attention
7:07 They Have a different horns
Every white rhino individual has always different shape of horn, i think those three trikes are reference on this rhino fact
@@Morrison-saber-toothmaybe but if we take care of the other part of the video i think those 3 are just 2 females and 1 male

Horns all don’t grow perfectly and among ceratopsians can differ

I hear some sharptooth noises in the beginning tho it's probably for entertainment effect
Awesome video
nice
Aaaw poor smol potat
Did they use an animatrotic for the triceratops carcass or was it all cgi
I'm pretty sure the close up shots are of a physical model, and the wide shots are CGI
How come Triceratops first appears dead in Prehistoric Planet? I would’ve expected it the appear running in packs, but that wouldn’t matter.

@@SmokeDog1871What is so bad about a T.rex taking down a Trike ?💀
Why is this video clipped up with split seconds missing?
The scenes in between didn't have any _Triceratops_ onscreen.
We can tell that the horns on males are different from females.
I know there's fossil evidence, but I'm curious: how often did T-Rex actually hunted Triceratops?
A triceratops was a three horned herbivore!
Yes, I have eyes as well. It was also named for that trait.
