Sludge Thickening & Sludge Dewatering at Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant

Trident sludge thickening and sludge dewatering process at a municipal wastewater treatment plant after secondary treatment: The objective is to demonstrate thickening and dewatering of aerobic sludge with 2% solids. Both Trident systems require relatively low power and minimal maintenance allowing fully automated operation. The Trident Wave Separator achieved ~10% TS, the Trident MD Press ~23% TS, both with identical sludge input and using flocculation boxes.The Trident MD Press proves to be very versatile with different sludge types, including high-dilute sludge. Depending on the input the machine can produce cake with over 30% TS. The Wave Separator is ideal for applications where simple operation requires target solids of ~7-12% (i.e. pre digester treatment).

No it's activated sludge, which is what you get when microbes eat the poop water and in turn make more microbes.
