Wow! Great Introduction to Omniverse! An important thing to mention is the reason why we are able to get all of these applications, with collaboration, a possibility -- and that's because of Pixar's invention of the file format USD - Universal Screen Description. We really appreciate you taking the time to do this video!
after working with unity as civil engineer i thought of and wanted that feature as future for unity in integrating the simulation software with unity, seems nvidia way way ahead , thank you for the info
@Civil Engineering Laboratories, how do u connect omniverse with Unity, is there a connector? Or we can create VR content directly in Unity. How does it works? Thanks
Hey are you still working on Omniverse?, if yes would you recommend architectural firms to shift their workflow to Omniverse. Thanks for the video btw, very informative.
Thank for the info. Can we install Audio2Face on Nvidia RTX Virtual Workstation on Google Cloud. Does NVIDIA T4 GPU would suffice and is it better than RTX 3070?
Not so familiar with the virtual workstation, so I apologize but for the T4 vs 3070: based on the price per performance of each, I would definitely prefer the 3070!
Thank you. As I understand it, this takes care of the Blender Asset Browser issue that doesn't allow you to add collections ( for example a rigged model ) to the Asset Browser....hopefully?
Quite possibly. I will say that I am more intrigued by Unreal Engine 5 as it applies more directly with architecture. When Omniverse does, rest assured I will be there!
I think it needs to reach at least the level of Unreal Engine or Twinmotion or Enscape in quality and speed until it can become mainstream but i am sure that Nvidia has the power and knowledge to make this a gamechanger.
I agree with you, Omniverse is currently competing with Unreal/Twinmotion, yea. What will set Omniverse apart evertually I believe is the USD format and collaboration across medias/modeling programs.
@@ArchitectureVanguard If USD is an open standard then any software developer can implement it. So it wouldnt be a big difference for Unreal. In the end all the developments will start to complement eachother instead of competing.

Hi, great video. Could I ask what version RTX card your using? I am planning on buying a new laptop with RTX graphic card but I am worried if the type of RTX card I am using will work with OMniverse create? Thanks in advance.
I have a 3070. I would recommend at least a 3060ti even in a laptop. If you have to get a 2000 series card in a laptop, then probably only a 2080 or 2080ti. I do not believe a 2070 or 3060 would be worth the cost if you want to keep the laptop over 2 years but that of course depends on the price. Best of luck!

I bet it can! Give that it is the most recent year card and an RTC card or raytracing card then you’ll be good. I will say a 3070 will always be better but Omniverse should be quite usable.

Hi, I have set up omniverse create and able to export revit model as prop. The render with ray path tracing seems amazing quality. the lights were able to come in too. The only peeve I have is that not all revit materials came in and I had to reapply some materials. I was wondering if anyone knows a way to enable all or at least most materials to be exported from revit into omniverse create. If that can be done this omniverse and revit combinatiob would be even better
I am not entirely sure what might be causing this. I would check which materials are not coming in and see if there is a pattern. For example, if the material is a legacy material (not a PBR material) then that could be why. I would think that is the primary reason. That or the material is too generic that data is not exported.
hey all. I have a problem with local nucleus sevice. I'm taking this error "Failed to execute script __main__". Do you heve any idea about that? Thank you.
I’m not sure of this exactly. It could be some kind of a connection issue. You might also just reinstall to get a proper connection. Sorry I’m not much help.
evety real physical world components should have a usd format model it directly come from the factory. and people just put components into secen that real environment
