Far and away the most difficult part of the game. You lose 10+ sec once the fish touches the wall.

You have to upgrade your fishing skills it helps a ton.

@@jastinderechte9685 If I remember correctly, after you fish for awhile, Clyde should have the first upgrade at his shop available for 300 fish points. After you buy the first one, you should unlock the second upgrade for purchase, which costs 600 fish points. There’s also a third upgrade for 1000 fish points
@@jastinderechte9685 buy the fishing data from the guy at the oasis. Each one is for upgrade fishing.
@jastinderechte9685 thru the fishing merchant. With advance fishing data and the other one above it fishing because much easier plus u can adjust the fishing input controls to just mashing square then single input commands after that thru the options. Hope this helps.

I got very lucky with this fish. Only took me two casts.
I can't even catch a fish they always get away.
Turn on assisted fishing in the accessibility options. Makes it worlds easier.

Were do you get the betta and sea bass fish?
I got the Betta at the oasis where Clyde is and the sea bass at the pond you walk past in xion to walk to wasteland
I hate the betta. Thats all I was getting for a while trying to catch catfish

Had 4 fish slices and luckily got the halibut on the last one 😅

Think mine is bugged or something. Legit every fish in that pond for me is 100% impossible to catch. The meter hardly moves no matter how fast I click and even if they tripled the time given it wouldn't be doable. Wth am I missing???
Go to settings, then select accessibility. Scroll down till you see "Fishing Controls Replacement."
Turn in on and keep it on. With that setting, instead of you having to mash square and R2, you only have to hit them once. You'll be able to get fish much easier now.
So basically, once you hook a fish, tap R2.
Step 1: Tap square once, then just move the left analog stick opposite direction of the fish swimming till you get the next prompt.
Step 2: Tap R2 once, and you be in the blue meter instantly.
Step 3: Repeat step 1, then step 2 if needed.
Then just reel in the fish at the end.
@@tygaboy88This also only works if you get the fishing upgrades from Clyde! I see everyone talking about changing the settings but if you don’t get the upgrades settings won’t matter, you’ll still be too slow to reel in the fish.

Didn't realize I need this $hit for platinum until today. We buy this game for a Souls/Devil May Cry experience or involve ourselves with these bull$hit fishing mini games? WHY do devs ruin great games with bull$hit fishing mini games? WHY!?
I fucking hate this!! Every time I try to catch it let's go I have simple controls on. I wish someone can actually take my controller and do this for me.. I want the costume without this shit.
