Beautiful Timisoara, Romania. It is the capital city of Timiș County and the main economic, social and cultural centre in western Romania. Located on the Bega River, Timișoara is considered the informal capital city of the historical Banat. From 1848 to 1860 it was the capital of the Serbian Vojvodina and the Voivodeship of Serbia and Banat of Temeschwar. With 319,279 inhabitants at the 2011 census, Timișoara was then the country's third most populous city, after Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca. It is home to almost half a million inhabitants in its metropolitan area, while the Timișoara-Arad conurbation concentrates more than 70% of the population of Timiș and Arad counties. Timișoara is a multicultural city, home to 21 ethnicities and 18 religions. Interculturality has long been a unique characteristic of the western part of the country.
One of the prominent landmarks is The Orthodox Cathedral, also known as the Metropolitan Cathedral, which is a Romanian Orthodox church in Timișoara. The cathedral is the seat of the Archbishopric of Timișoara and the Metropolis of Banat. It is dedicated to the Three Holy Hierarchs, Basil the Great, Gregory the Theologian and John Chrysostom.
Built on an area of 1,542 m2, it has 11 towers, of which the central one has a height of 90.5 m, making it the second tallest church in Romania, after the People's Salvation Cathedral in Bucharest. The cathedral is listed in the National Register of Historic Monuments.
Approximately 2.000 people can fit inside the church. This beautiful church is located in the main Timisoara square with many parks and landmarks such as Cathedral park, Anton von Scudier Park, Roses park, Regina Maria park, Botanic park and others.

Sa 319.279 stanovnika na popisu iz 2011. godine, Temišvar je tada bio treći grad po broju stanovnika u zemlji, posle Bukurešta i Kluž-Napoke. To je dom za skoro pola miliona stanovnika u svojoj metropoli, dok konurbacija Temišvar-Arad koncentriše više od 70% stanovništva okruga Timiš i Arad. Jedna od glavnih znamenitosti je i Pravoslavna katedrala, poznata i kao Mitropolija, koja je rumunska pravoslavna crkva u Temišvaru. Saborna crkva je sedište Temišvarske arhiepiskopije i Banatske mitropolije. Posvećena je Svetoj trojici Jerarha Vasiliju Velikom, Grigoriju Bogoslovu i Jovanu Zlatoustom.
Izgrađena na površini od 1.542 m2, ima 11 kula, od kojih je centralna visoka 90,5 m, što je čini drugom najvišom crkvom u Rumuniji, posle Saborne crkve Spasa naroda u Bukureštu. Katedrala je uvrštena u Nacionalni registar istorijskih spomenika.

Foarte reusit dar cam... monoton; Timisoara are multe, multe cladiri de interes arhitectonic; Catedrala orthodoxa e numai unul dintre ele... dar apare cam... toata filmarea. Mai încearca !
