I watched your intro demo of the three amps and the iconic Angus riffs for each amp with biggest smile on my face Paul. Awesome!! Need to check this puppy out!!
Paul, Definitely this is pedal of the day on TH-cam! I have four reviews in my subscription list. I picked yours first and don't think I'll need to look at the others. As typical for you, the review is concise and to the point. I appreciate that along with your enthusiasm for the sound. This is definitely a new one on me how Angus deliberately uses a wireless connection as a sound element!
Feels like CTC are in a purple patch recently, same way Boss were the other year when they did a load of awesome delays and the preamp booster. Sounds great.
00:44 - can not wait to hear a. The AC/DC fans going crazy in the comments about you “DOING IT WRONG” with the riff, and b. If your variation is far enough removed to avoid the copyright strike from TH-cam! Sounds mega doesn’t it. Bet those Gibsons enjoyed this session. 😍
No Footswitch for Amp Modes? 🤔 Great demo, I think this unit sounds terrific. I prefer the «Heatseeker» to the Friedman IR models I've heard. However, it baffles me that the three amp modes are NOT footswitchable. So it's hardly suitable for live use ... Unless you want to stick to one sound only (and use your guitar's volume knob for variations). Could I add an external footswitch to access the «Heatseeker»'s different amp modes? Thank you. Kind regards
@bluesoverlord Yes, good idea! :) Well, obviously I didn't expect Crazy Tube Circuits to include dedicated footswitches for EACH of the preamp modes ... But at least they should've offered a way to cycle through them. For instance by pressing the On/off and Boost footswitches simultaneously (or holding one of them). If the «Heatseeker» had an USB port I guess they could patch the firmware to support said switching capabilities. Alas, the device has none. :( It's a bit of a missed opportunity, really ... as with more elaborate switching options the «Heatseeker» would make for a killer, complete fly rig (rivaling Strymon Iridium and the Walrus ACS1 MKI). Nonetheless, it's still a great sounding «Marshall in a box», and I may get one for the (red) aesthetics alone. Kind regards
Sounds like a true Boomer comment 😅 Let me guess here, are you the same type of person who would try to convince us that vintage Marshalls are built better and guitarists would rather use tube amps over Amp and cab sims these days? 😂😂
I don’t know why all your sounds sound the same. My bet is that it’s your dialing tendencies and using the same IR, mid focused. That’s a choice but that’s not everybody’s taste. As I wanted to showcase your channel a lot of friends founds your sounds… not so pleasing. Maybe could you try other ir and dialing techniques?

Great stuff Paul. Amazing tones!
Sounds really good! I use a victory jack preamp pedal and suhr riot - does the job
Great demo. Thanks, Paul.
Those Greeks make killer pedals, the Unobtainum Raw is by far my favorite pedal purchase of the year! Can’t wait to try this out!
I have a Tsakalis room 40 and it is killer
Sounds Great Paul!
It got more gain than what's on the records. I like that!
1 million thumbs up!!!
CTC do a good job of creating unique, useful pedals! I've owned of few of theirs and this one sounds like I need to add it to the board!
Right on!
That guitar sounds great
Loving this thank you
Impressive
Hells bells, that's pretty wicked!
Oh yeah!

It is possible use this pedal directly in a stage monitor or in the mixer? What gear you used to reach this sound?

That would be a great mod! Ask Josh (JHS) to do it on his next mod a pedal video.

Hi paul. Were you on radio 2 this morning? Great content by the way been following the channel for a while now! Cheers
Do you mean The Studio Rats music or me personally talking on Radio 2
personally talking. I think it was Vernon kay's show. If it wasn't you my mistake.
How would you compare this to the Tsakalis room 40 ? I can get a lot of great Marshall tones out of it
Hi Paul, would this make a great Tone X capture with an IR? Sounds great 👍🏼
Dial the gain back and you've got Malcolm as well!
Sounds nice! What IR are you using?
They are by Bogren digital
Fun fact : You can get same sound with Boss Katana
What settings are you using for that ?
@ Crunch amp with treble booster in front
😂😂😂😂😂😂😅
Bought it…

@@WillieHardmeatOfficial2024 Willie is back!

£295 nope. I'll use my actual jmp.great demo though 🤘
It’s not cheap but it is great.
I don’t have a JMP. So I think I may look into this or the Lion for this coming Christmas. Thank you very much!
@@ericjondahl9418 I have the Lion and it’s kind of meh to me. This pedal sounds so much better!
Ha ha. You don't need it. I'm happy with the SL drive.
