I was trapped in China for the past two and a half years because of coronavirus, and I was frequently on one form of lockdown or another. One of the things that I did while I spent day after day after day after day after day locked inside, was watch your videos (and I made lists of the crafts I was going to do when I got home and the materials and things). I came home in July, finally, and I've been looking for a house that's exactly like yours (except there will be no birds in my house....we differ severely on that). Otherwise, it is shocking to me how much you and I have such similar taste and aesthetic in most things, and I can imagine you getting excited when you discover a new Nativity scene that you'd like to bring home, which is exactly what I did during my travels in Asia and Africa (and ornaments..I have a whole international tree, and the garland is Tibetan prayer flags (from Tibet) and I used African kente fabric (yes, Kenya) as the skirt. I see and appreciate, deeply, that you know that everything has to look magical, and you know how to do it easily and effectively. Your folk art Americana Halloween work is some of my favorite looks of yours....I am obsessed with absolutely everything from this period, and have been since I was a little kid. I've been home for a few months now, and aggressively looking for a house (most likely that needs to be restored from top to bottom, because that's what it takes to keep quality original work in a 100 year old house), and even though I've had everything for the holidays in my nonexistent house (yet) designed for decades, I know I'll come back to all of your Christmas videos before I set anything in place, just to make sure I didn't miss a great opportunity. Your home is beautiful and you truly know how to showcase it, and your style.
It is all beautiful. My favorite is the Village in your built in hutch. As a child I loved store windows at Christmas and that's what your serving with your beautiful decorated hutch. I copied how you used lots of bottle brush trees in many sizes and my granddaughter picked up on that right away. Told me she loved how it looked. Have a great weekend.

Hi Kate! I usually take a break from my channel after Christmas to get caught up on projects around the house & work on some creative things like art, music, & writing. The last few years I haven't had time to work on winter decorating as I usually start working on spring videos in February & have had holiday gatherings through late January some years.
