Digitakt Quick Jams with Digitone, Minilogue XD, Model D & Live vocals - 18 min of electronic music

- Over the weekend we wanted to write some quick freeform jams and just record/perform. Here's the result! The setup is the Digitakt as the main brain, then into the Digitone and Model D. Model D is doing bass for all 5 jams. The Digitone is doing bell/FM sounds. Finally the Minilogue XD is connected from the Digitone thru and doing pad/arps/leads on the jams.
Everything was tracked into Ableton Live for a quick mix (reverbs and delays mostly). The Digitakt and Digitone were connected via Overbridge 2.0 to record the individual tracks. That way the drums from the Digitakt could have separate verb/delay than the sampled synths on tracks 5-8.

Bass, drums, a nice pad and a beautifully strong but mournful female voice with a twist of a 5+ second reverb. Jolly marvellous :)
Will the Digitakt facilitate audio through or is it only the Digitone that has the capability when using Overbridge? I didn't think it could but I may be mistaken given my eyes-glazing-over-state when manual diving.

I actually haven't tried the audio through on Overbridge yet. It has the option to grab the L/R inputs in Ableton as a plugin, so I'm assuming you can use it that way. One thing I discovered during this jam is the analog audio outs on the boxes cut as soon as I switched to Overbridge. I was bit disappointed with that since I had to deal with 50ms of audio delay in Ableton. Oh well, live and learn.

Great Channel, awesome people and really good setups! You guys inspired me a lot on trying this fusion of genres myself. And even tough I come from a more classical and acoustic background I felt so tempted to try to adapt my sound using some electronic components and I do not regret it!
I just have a hard time connecting them all the way you do it because I'm still such a noobie.
I got the same xd Module, a keystep 37 (which work perfectly together), but recently added a Digitakt to the equation and still can't get this to get the teamwork done.
I'm having a hard time keeping the keystep controlling the xd and the digitakt sync with the xd in order to share the same clock...
How do you have them connected?

Hi Pedro! If I recall correctly, you gotta dig into the XD menus a bit to make the sync work correctly over midi ports. I struggled with it too at first. Thanks for watching our vids 🙏
