Great to see Gary again, getting around snappily (an adverb, fyi 😉), and great to see another C2. Mr Pryde carrying the family tradition of putting out mint frames 👌
I like the UDH rear dropout, T47 (except I prefer the external spec) and 27.2 seatpost (except with an annoying wedge instead of the superior clamp). The geometry is also spot-on for what most people are looking for. However, this is a tough price for a direct-sales brand. It's the same price as a TCR Advanced Pro and far more expensive than competing direct-sales options like the Winspace SLC3. Lots of other options fall into this price point when they go on sale. Also, it's 200g-300g heavier than the industry norm for a non-aero racing frame. It doesn't seem to me to be truly differentiated on the market, you'd have to really want this frame to buy it.
it looks like a nice bike. itd be a hard sell though as i dont think it stands out in any sort of way. normal geo and not particularly light or aero looking. The price is okay?
Just not seeing the value. Cheaper than a Tarmac frame. Not uber light. Unknowable how well it rides, but lets say its ok. If racing, why not buy a Winspace which is lighter, cheaper and more aero?
Way pricey, overweight, digitally painted kiwi frame - for the showpony wannabes only eh ? :) Bars do look nice, but 36cm is pretty limiting. And the fork looks wider than 34mm ??
1:35 "are we measuring to see if there is any offset between the cups of the bb; no we are not. But it sure looks like it's (good)" What trash tier expert is this nonsense. At this point any random dude can just look at the bike listing and determine it's a quality piece of kit no questions!
It’s not what they do there, that will get done during the bike build. Gary’s owned and run two successful carbon repair businesses and he looks at bikes all day long, every day, for a decade or more. I’ll take his opinion over ‘any random’ any day of the week.
Long live 27.2

Really impressed with Chapter 2 and I my Toa 🙂
Fcking well done on the health front, Gary!
Cheers!
Always great to watch…informative 👍
I was expecting the angle grinder for a look inside video. Ah, maybe next time.
Great video Cam!
Those drops with long horizontal sections look really comfy
Actually didn't want to oversell anything in the video, but I must say the Mana bars are top shelf. I am thinking of putting them on other bikes.
>1000g for a non-aero tweaked road frame in 2025 😳 … going to be a tough sell in a very crowded market
I disagree with Gary… the paint is nice… 😂😂😂… always enjoy Gary’s “not a five year old” bike frame assessment… 😎🍻
Good god Gary has shifted some timber!!! He will giving you a run for your money soon Cam...:)
😂
last first look frameset review... I assume you have some other cool new plans in the works, would love to hear what that is going to be.
Did you ever review the Chapter2 Koko after it was built? Saw glimpses of it in your videos but didn't recall a full video
Will this frame be reviewed? Looking forward to it!
2550 USD , expensive frame is well made, hardy a shock
4600AUD for frame and bars, I'll give a miss thanks.

Nailed it. At this price point, would MUCH rather have a TCR or Winspace.
@@lukewalker1051 Thanks for the comments. Most of our sales are made by our authorised dealers, who are available in most markets. Thanks.
D shaped seatposts aren't more compliant by default it's how the manufacturer choose to lay it.
When are going to do an update on their Aero frame?🤔

What Neils opinion on new Addict geo?
So, 2000 USD for top end Chinese frame (with bars) or this at 3000 USD (with bars). Which would you pick?
SL8 with bars for 3250, or a winspace for 1600 with bars ;)
So BMC is gone????

Wish you did this to the elilalelilaalee frame
Sorry about that. I still vouch for that brand though. Neill has even decided to keep the bike he likes it so much. We're not selling it.
Why do you delete comments cam? should make a video on that
For an all round they missed the 35mm tire clearance mark
I likw snapalie
It's my new favourite word to describe a road bike. Give me a score from 1 - 10 on how Snapalie it is? LOL
🎉

Not impressed by this to be honest, I would chose the winspace slc 3 over this.

He lost me when he embraced the threaded bottom bracket .
haha seems to be coming back more and more though.
@@CamNichollsyea that’s because the frame makers aren’t capable of making accurate thread less bottom brackets. Nice looking frame though.
Most likely because threadless has too many problems.
@@MashiroRedo only because the frame quality is poor.
