One of the coolest sounding guitars you own! This is a great crossover instrument for someone busking, playing gigs or do g experimental music. Hope to hear more pieces with the Hispania soon!
Thanks a lot Josh! It definitely is a little unique instrument and totally in a category of its own. I quite like it. There are a lot of sonic possibilities that you can achieve with this instrument for sure.
Giving this another listen as I’m sitting up with a quick cup of tea watching the snow fall by moonlight. The sounds coming from this guitar created a perfect atmosphere for that. I think that because the Hispania can create unique tonal environments, it would be the ideal guitar to take to the Planetarium performance. 🌎
Wow! Late night for you at 3am. A snow plow woke me up this morning! Thanks for listening again! I’m glad you enjoyed. I think you’re right! Many different blends and sonic abilities can be achieved!
Oooh tough comparison! Each guitar is different and has its own unique quality and strengths. I like the Martinez for the effects, and playability. But I have been playing godins for nearly a decade, and I currently own three of them.
Hi Josh - any idea what the neck radius is? I'd probably want to add a GK3 synth pickup for gigging. Like the light weight - has more tonal possibilities than the cordoba stage. Have you played the cordiba stage? - how would you compare? Owned a Nylon string - beautiful solid body guitar yrs ago built by Del Langeans form Michigan - for Earl Klugh. Sold it - but regretted it. Fantastic playing and sounding guitar - very light. Loved the neck!
My main gigging guitar is the godin Multiac nylons, they are fabulous guitars, and my favorite to play. I’d say the neck is similar to a Multiac slim, not quite the 52MM nut, but close.
Good review and some very classy playing. They are marketed here in Australia as Katoh brand. I can't find much information about them. Can you explain what appears to be a series of fine-tuning pots on the back plate? I assume they enable tweaking of the EQ and delay effects. Cheers Rob
Classical guitar, Orlando sleepeth trinity grade 4,above bar 9,it says minim=dotted minim(not in words but the symbol of minim=dotted minim)I have searched everywhere but am unable to find what it means;Any help would be appreciated
Hello, thank you for your video, I would like to buy this guitar but I don't know that it would be the most suitable amplifier for this type of instrument to simply play at home. There is the Vox brand, I don't know if it's a good choice... thank you.
Thanks for your question, I think any amp formatted for a nylon string guitar would do well. Since it already has built in effects an amp with included effects may not be necessary. But any boss/ bose would be just fine. I’d stayed away from fishman products they are made for acoustic steel strings, although they will work they aren’t made for them specifically. Hope that helps.
It is unfortunate where the plug in is located should you want to hold this like a traditional classical guitar. It's right in the middle and in the way. Too bad.

Thanks for your comment and support! Yes, they are for tweaking EQs precisely.

@@JustinHatt1 Thank you for reply
By the way have you had the chance to play out with the Martinez ?
It’s a fun little guitar to take on a gig.
A more affordable alternative to the Cordoba Stage?
I have never played a cordoba stage, so I’m not sure.
My guitar that adds effects must suck
Do elaborate further? What seems to be the problem?

I agree, but oh well, always compromises somewhere.
Look up Bruskers Guitar Duo. They have no problem.
