@@highnoon7097 I mean they're a heavy metal band there wasn't much "technique" to teach him was there? Just scream at the top of your voice. My other question is did any of the panel know of the band, the edit only shows Simon acknowledging Ariel but it doesn't show whether he even knew the band she was talking about lol
I think she actually sings pretty well. Yeah its different. But her voice itself is GREAT. The genre and style just isnt most humans cup of tea. Wish she was still here with us and that people werent so cruel 💜
That face Simon Cowell made when she talked about Bullet For My Valentine.. Like dude, how am I supposed to take you seriously when you made pop groups like One Direction?
she was.... actually pretty darn good. Still, we have to be reminded that this auditions were stablished for narrow headed mainstream pop music listeners, not to mention that a part of the criteria for the selection (as in most interviews) has a lot to do with respect. She was disqualified since the moment in which she was throwing her tag into the face of a judge, trying to place herself in a higher hierarchy. Even following an anarchy phylosofy you have to show tolerance to reflect authority.
I honestly DON'T care! Also, you mentioning her suicide doesn't really make ANY sense at all - ESPECIALLY when I'm not interested!! I just wish you AND EVERYONE ELSE would stop!! Just shut the fuck up!!
Exactly, she showed them a piece at an academic perspective like she said to show them what her voice can do I.e showing them she can express her voice in different genres of music rather than just one I feel like they just said she was horrible because back then Alternative media and appearances were hated alot
Oh no she was shit. She also lied about coaching Matt Tuck. Probably about being a vocal coach in general. Just stating that they all seem to dislike metal in general, and refuse it. From what I've seen anyhow.
They're not academics no. This guys supposed to be in the music business how as he never heard of Bullet For My Valentine, they're relatively mainstream. :? she's amazing.
Its obvious she didn't teach Matt Tuck. Matt Tuck started in 1998 therefore Ariel was 16 or so by then so she couldn't have been a vocalist coach. On myspace she is not friends with Matt Tuck or BFMV. And it is known and confirmed that Matt Tuck has been vocally trained by well known coach, Melissa Cross.
The growl was off, but it's not easy to switch up from guttural sounds to singing (plus it's harder to get the low vocal range since she's a woman and not a man). However, her technique was good and she has a pretty good range. But, she did mess it up by acting how she did.
Obviously if you want to win the X Factor you must not sing metal... think the judges don't even know Bullet For My Valentine... Anyway I don't think she really taught Matt
i think she's awesome, every fucking year we get the same shit on x factor, to be fair i wish she'd had stayed and won, would be a change from the usual shit christmas no.1's we get every year.
All the people saying she's actually good, I don't think she is. She sounds off tune, and if there was some sort of backing track to this, even basic guitar/drums, it would sound horrible. The only impressive part about her singing was the last note she held.
If she didn't need Simon Cowell to tell her if she could sing AND she has a degree in it, why did she go on the X Factor in the first place??? Lol She was too big headed and cocky to get through
Fan-frigging-tastic. I actually think that she's quite brave - because there's no way they'd have considered her at all. I mean, she's fucking insane, I'll give you that, but she's a GOOD kind of insane. She DOES have a good voice and a good range, but because it's not pop music, they're immediately going to dismiss her. I can't see why, if she's worked with Matt Tuck (who's a damn legend), she can't record her own stuff and get a contract that way.
I feel another PSA coming on here...so, shall we? Ladies and gentleman, this is Ariel. Ariel is on steroids, as well as pcp. The symptoms of these drugs are as follows: arrogance, argumentative for no apparent reason, delusions of being associated with famous people that you have never met and probably thought of only at the moment of mention, strange hair styles, and inhuman like noises out of the mouth. Please folks, don't do drugs or roids. Do you want to end up like Ariel here? Thank you.
she was amazingly good! with that "song" she showed them that she can sing fro m opera to death metal. they cut her cause she was so rude. X-factor just wants the most appealing-to-people-image-singer....
:O she was amazing, her voice was so strong and can do a lot! I especially liked the 'rawr' :D the judges don't understand the concept of people liking different genres of music. Judges, people don't just like terrible pop music -.- GO METAL!! \m/
While yes I feel like she got incredibly heated and she needed to inprove more vocally I don't think she was treated fairly, she performed a piece from an academic perspective that her voice can express more than one genre rather than one form because if this is a show to be judged vocally, mind you from people I've never seen peform or sing themselves, then why is her voice not good, this was during a time when alternative and rock media and alternative appearances were hated still and seen as "rebellion" and she even said if they didn't like what she brought to them she didn't mind performing something else for them
Also she says. I can sing I have a degree in it? Singing has nothing to do with degrees but the things that you feel. And what did she say she feels exactly? Idk. Could someone tell me? Good music has feeling to it. Listen to modest mouse. Or some fleet foxes Interpol Simon & garfunkel. Maybe even old school rap. Old rap like wu tang where you could actually listen and hear what they are talking about
She obviously doesn't know what a rock singer sounds like. Compare her to the likes of Bruce Dickinson and Brian Johnson, Bon Scott and Steven Tyler- she doesn't compare.
When Simon said that it was a nightmare, he was waking the demon inside of her.
I hope BFMV fans understand that joke.
ChernovFan100 I got it
lmao yep got it
Love the instrumental from that song
Has Matt Tuck ever acknowledged her or was it all bollocks?
R.I.P. Ariel!
Being a hardcore Bullet For My Valentine fan while watching this genuinely makes me cringe.
I've always wondered is that an actual band?
@@Jeremy-f3s yes, it's a band name "Bullet for My Valentine"

An insult to Bullet For My Valentine. Seriously.

Last week walking around London’s West End, all I could think of when seeing ‘Stage Door’ was Ariel. What a baddie
The judges faces when she mentions Matt tuck!!!!
'you've obviously never met a rock singer' ahaha omg c;
