It’s was a cold breezy summer evening. The sun was snuggle warmly between the fluffy white clouds. In the distance, night and day were changing shifts. The sky was painted was vividly with a mixture of colors only God can create. The aroma from smoked barbecue reminded that I only had few more minutes before the kids will be arriving at the family ranch. “Honey, have you seen my black blazer?’ My wife asked me. I’m always moving her stuff to where I think they should be. Yes, like all couples we have difference of opinions, but wouldn’t trade her for the world. Without her there isn’t a me. I love her. “Check in the coat closet by the door.” I met my wife while we were in college over 28 years ago. She met me went I had no direction. She became my compass. My lovely wife help me navigated through life. And along the way, we have created a beautiful family. Three boys and two girls. She approached me while putting on the black blazer she stole from me during my senior year of college. “Honey, how’s it going?” “A few more touches and my masterpiece will be complete.” She looks at me with her beauty browns. Give me a smirk. And kissed me, softly. “Babe, if you wanted me to kiss you, just say so.” Saying a few more kisses is my way of having her seal the deal with a kiss. I know it’s a cheesy way for me to get a kiss from my wife. But it’s my way of having her involvement in most of everything I do. And besides, she love my corkiness. *DING DONG* I’ll get the door, babe. The essence of this angel keeps me alive.
