- In this heroic encounter, Squadron Leader Rafiqui was at his leadership's best. He had scored a confirmed kill a third time. However, more significantly, the significance of the mission was not lost on him and, despite heavy odds; he did his best to get the formation to put in the attack. As a Squadron Commander, he demonstrably inspired other pilots to lead valiantly. This may well have been Rafiqui’s greatest contribution to the 1965 air war. The award of the Hilal-e-Jurat, as well as Sitara-e-Jurat acknowledged his gallant leadership and selfless devotion to duty.

Be it anything in war sometimes you win and sometimes we win. But reality prevails that India has won all wars against you and in history it will always be. Hindustan zindabad.
I have to met with Mr. Sarfraz Rafiqui (Shaheed) in my childhood in his house in Karachi.
Respected Sir, Assalam o Alikum I am die hard fan of Pakistan Military and always tries to learn from the sacrifices of our leaders but today after listening the war story of Group Captain Cecil Chaudry I remembered my school days as he has served our school as Principal and he is always very much dear to all of us. May his soul rest in peace.
I have honour to have company with sir MM. Alam at Karachi and again at Chaklala,I found him very gentle & noble person,I used to pray Allah Almighty peace & high rank in Jannat

To Pakistan Air Force Enthusiastic, There was a hard debate ongoing on ground among planners,Rafique was insisted to attack 2 enemy air bases with 6 sabres for each instead attacking 3 bases with 3 sabres,Rafiqui logic was that after the destruction of pathankot iaf due to numerical superiority would have 4 to 6 aircraft in the air on all bases and in case of attack more iaf aircrafts took off would result heavily outnumbering of PAF ,when Cecil knew it he asked Rafiqui why did he not insist ,Rafiqui replied old military dictum that soldier doesn't reasons why but to do or die,well narrated Sir,salute to you and all of the fellow comrades.
Vampires and Ouragans were completely obsolete. So there grounding had zero impact on the war.
Sir. Keep on sharing these true stories of our unsung heroes. I would like to watch more on this. Keep it up. 👏👏👏👏

Great sir. Pakistan is facing now greater than 1947 - 19 65 and 1971 catastrophic situation. We need to gather all our veterans to liberate again Pakistan and defeat hopelessness , Hippocratic politics and economics meltdown.

I was 12 years old when war broke and still remember these brave airmen and their names , these heroes and ghazis were known to every household during the war due to their heroism and their patriotism. God bless their souls who gave their lives to keep us safe and for love their country . Thanks for sharing
