Great video. I have a doubt when I compare Product and Program Manager Interviews. So in Product Manager interviews, we might have separate rounds of interview for product strategy, design, estimates, metrics, product launch and behavioral. Typically we assume several aspects and ask few clarifications from the interviewer while we navigate the responses to these questions. Does similar things also happens for program manager interview in terms of defining the structure of the response, ask clarifying questions to the interviewer and call out any assumptions we make while answer that specific question? Does the source of an internal referral matter? I have a few contacts but they work in very different roles and very different areas from where I would be applying. I'm curious if I would be better off networking for a blind referral in this case.

It's not uncommon for finance professionals to move into program management. It's really all about mapping your experience to the skills and responsibilities of a program manager. You need to do this mapping on your resume as well as in the way you talk about yourself, ie "tell me about yourself", and also in the examples you provide in your behavioral interview questions.
