it was such a relief to share my thoughts and experiences as I push for endgame
thank you so much for your advice! 10 out of 10 would come again!
The idea you discussed here around the mentality of grinding/pushing vs IRL really resonates well with me. I'm not a fast grinder, and personally I've struck that balance by finding a group of friends (all of whom I made through Maple) that I boss with, and we progress together. There's more than 6 of us, and sometimes that means that someone will be out for a week, but it also means that you can find someone to fill in for you pretty easily if the timing doesn't work. I'm actually currently working to create exactly what you described, multiple parties (by adding in a copule friends that have been on the edges) that are strong enough to clear so you can swap people around as needed.
Obviously it does slow down progression compared to a single OP party, we've got people who could be pushing NKaling/CKalos/XBM, and personally I'd support them in doing so for a while with a different party if they wanted to, but having that group of people who I genuinely view as friends helps me at least keep my sanity in the game. Instead of always having to run the hardest version possible every week, we've worked on helping each other progress and compensating if someone falls behind a little (obviously there's a limit to that, but within reason it's pretty doable).
The reality though is that at this point we're just as happy to hear someone have to cancel/reschedule because they've got a cool IRL event as we are to run, and that has helped me at least continue enjoying a game that I would have otherwise quit years ago...
Some really great advice/info in this one☀️ happy belated!
3 hours a day aint lazy, end gamers have a very skewed perception of game play.
Yeah, I'm usually a daily gamer and even I felt it was a lot. When you're surrounded by others that do much more, you lose yourself a bit.
That's why I sought outlook from others and I'm very glad I did!
I never gave a fuck about what anyone else said on there. I’ve had my fair share of toxicity from the community. They try to make it seem like you have some sort of obligation. Maybe the recent years of game left a bad taste in my mouth.. Maybe I’m biased.. idk but I just think the most worthwhile thing to do on the game is to play it for fun, and have a HEALTHY strategy for progressing the game!
I didn't know that ""bad classes"" are so shafted at end game. Thats kinda demotivating considering that I play a off-meta class. Should have hyperburn bish and made my new main LOL
What class are you playing?
it really sucks, but i mean you just find people in the same pool with ya and brute force it lmao
While playing a "meta" class will definitely get you into parties more often, they're still subject to a short stay if they lack hands and/or don't communicate.
The alternative is to play a class you don't like as much. Another thing to keep in mind of is that you don't know what the endgame meta will be like by the time you reach endgame. Whatever class you're playing now could be good in the future and vice versa.
end gamers play maple religiously or it's their full-time job or they are financially taken care of by their parents. don't compare yourself with them if you want a normal life. if you want to replace your life with maple, then go end game. but if you value your normal life, then take some measures to join a irl community and get yourself out of the house and find enjoyment in other activities.
i think you need to quit my dude. the game is playing you, not you playing it.
hehe, i’ve definitely thought about it.
i think quitting is the extreme solution, can probably just find a more chill party.
I think if you broke off from the game for 2+ weeks to the point where you dont care about the daily/weekly commitment and just play a genuinely fun game like baldurs gate 3/eldenring/ whatever, youll remember what its like just enjoying your free time and not all this cringe ass i gotta grind or else like im sorry the only place where you should have this mentality and even that's debatable is with your career, because atleast that will have actual long term benefits, you dont wana look back in 10 years and realize you spent this much time on a pixel game instead of enjoying yourself, not saying you cant enjoy yourself playing maple and if you are thats great, but it doesnt seem like you're there, and the absolute only reason to play video games is if its fun not for "gains"
Oh for sure, my MapleStory perspective was framed the wrong way.
Since this review, I took a moment to enjoy Dark and Darker with friends, and it was great.
I've also prioritized the friend hangouts.
I feel so much better!
@@RosebudsGMS glad to hear brother man
SHE NEEDS TO LEVEL UP AND GET HEXA MAX TO GET TO CKALOS AND NKALING 285 BELOW CANT GO NKALING CKALOS UR GETTING CARRIED
I'M TRYING MY BEST! 🤣
This was by far the saddest vod i've ever seen. This person genuinely needs help.
I think more people than you know are in situations where managing their personal commitments and demands from gsmes like these are interfering. It's good and brave even to open up about and have the conversation.
@@Scardor Thats a nice positive outlook to have on it. Hope they get the help they need and realise that real life is more important.
@@martyb154 😊Oh I did! I'm feeling much better.
That's awesome to hear, was genuinely concerning to listen to. Can i ask what key points helped you overcome your unhealthy gameplay habit?
DUMMY DOESNT WORK WHEN FAMS R ON THIS HAS NEVER BEEN FIXED FOR AGES I STARTED PLAYING DB 2019 AND STILL IT HAS NEVER BEEN FIXED ITS AN AMAZING GAME SRSLY
Yeah this is why I take long breaks. And also why I don’t join competitive endgame guilds. It’s a fucking game. Kick me if I don’t reach 285 by the time you want? I’ll just join a low level guild and lose maybe 1 Gskill level lol. Shits whack
It does get extremely competitive at the highest level. But, you know what you sign up for, right?
People at this gear level paying for advice is next level cringe. Like you have this gear and don’t know how to move forward? Or are you just paying to chat with someone about your gear lmao.
I didn't pay for anything.
@@RosebudsGMSDoes not change the cringe level. You’re either trynna show off or bought your account. There’s no way you have this gear and not know how to move forward. Attention seeking at its fullest.
@@los4997 You’re right.
Man, where is all this fake news coming from. So hateful, too.
@@ScardorCalling something cringe is hateful? Lmao stay cozy in your little bubble.
