Thanks bro! Your video helped me on my XKGlow install. When I opened the boxes it looked a little daunting. 4 beers and 2 hours later (roughly 200 zip ties also…🤓) it’s awesome. I may post a video…

Thank you very much for the time you and your son put to help us understand how the lights work

Hey brother how did that tape hold up for you? Did you have any problems with it coming off when the sun heats up your fenders or anything like that? Thank you for the video.

I used the same on my softail and it was still holding after 3 years when I traded it in. Just clean the surface really really well

Outstanding! GREAT video! Thank you for the time you took to explain the steps. Do you have a source for the wire loom you used to shield the wires?

    • @charlesfrank1969
      @charlesfrank1969  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Thanks Brother. For the Wire Loom best is to just go to Amazon and type in braided wire loom. There is a ton to choose from, its cheap. If you have never used it , as you thread the wire push it in to itself and it expans expediently. , do it like when you put the pull string back through your swim trunks :-). Let me know if I can help with anything else.

I have this same kit. So basically I need to find a starting point and then just continue all the way around the bike???

@jamesworles8997 i would suggest applying it all with masking tape to do a mock up and go from there. I have another video that has more of a detailed installation that may help

Could you tell me what this kit cost and maybe a stock number?

You just need to pick what kit you want. Don't exactly remember which one it was. 12 strip I think

I know in the video tou have had a very good experience with xkglow. Does that still stand true? I am thinking about doing an underglow kit on my street glide, and I am considering xkglow. Asked on another video and the creator said he would not recommend them after about 2 years.

Honestly I think any light kit that is exposed to the grit and grime of motorcycle life is going to need some up keep. For instance, the lights that were running on the bottom side of the frame needed some love.. the oil from the road eventually ate away at the adhesive and i removed the entire strip , de greased everthing and reapplied. I did have one strip go out ( once again on the bottom side) where the road debris and what not did damage one. , good thing is you can just order 1 strip , unplug and replug in the new one. Are they bullet proof..nope :-)
      Hope this helps

I didn't see where you connect inside the front fender to the module.

It's just part of the loop.. as you are going around the bike.

Have you had any issues with your phone connecting to the control box? I've got LED Glow brand lights and for one they suck and two it NEVER connects unless I take the box apart. This may be the lights I've been looking for

? I just used what you get when you down load it. Unless they have recently changed and are charging for their app, its free or was at the time of this video.

Mine has quit working! Any suggestions?

    • @charlesfrank1969

If I had to guess , you have a wire cut somewhere. Do you have it set up in 2 zones? Or 1.. if 2 are they both not working. If that's the case it would be a power supply issue. Mine are still running strong. I have had a wire get damaged from road debris and just replaced that section and was back up and working.
