Just an fyi, overwatering plants, will look exactly like suns scorched plants, and because there are scattered you say scorched, with healthy next to it, would most likely be overwatered. I would check your drip lines to scorched, and also feel soil deep for wetness. And like i mentioned before, most need to be in ground not pots. Good luck! Love watching your channel!❤
Not true about most need to be in ground. They are just fine. Plants/trees can do great in containers! One does have to root prune every few years. I love my container citrus, cherry and miniature nectarines. I have grown in containers exclusively for years now.
In Louisiana I add mulch like grass clippings, cardboard, leaves, pine straw and rotting branches under my fig trees all year until the trees are growing on sloping mounds beneath the canopy. Blueberries and just about everything needs mulch. All my green grass clippings go directly in my garden and under my fruit trees and it really helps so much. There are no weeds in my garden because the soil stays covered.

Amazing garden. Maybe consider shading your most sensitive plants with aluminet shade cloth, it'll reflect heat instead of absorbing it. What I do about birds is I build screens with 2x4s and staple hardware cloth on top. I put this over the beds and the birds can't get in, it's like a seed prison! I also do it for raised beds and other plants. Hope things cool down for you, I commend you for being able to keep plants growing in your zone.
I like the variety of plants you have. It’s very encouraging! I garden in central TX 8b. I’m convinced that the seed companies should have special note on the packets that retains to Texas. Full sun does NOT mean full Texas sun or Texas 8b 😂. Perhaps this applies to AZ as well…
I grow packages of dry store beans and peas too. They grow great. Black eyed pea pods can be cooked green like asparagus pole beans. Both are cow pea varieties. I planted vining Red Ripper cow peas under my fig trees this year and trained them to cover the ground and they kept the bunnies out of my main gardens, provided ground cover, fixed nitrogen and provided a harvest too. They`re the most heat and drought resistant variety I`ve ever seen. Test plants survived a 2 month drought on dew alone.
I literally just got a flameless grape in the ground today so please give us all the details on the grapes and how to care for them!! You’d save me a lot of heartache.
I am so appreciative of your transparency. I was attracted to the title here because I, too, have dozens of trees as a backyard gardener. You did not focus as much on that part as the title suggests, but as a Texan with plenty of sun-scorched plants leafless trees, I loved seeing a "real" garden with yellowing and dead plants. I am now subscribed and I look forward to watching more.
Wow, your garden has expanded amazingly. Awesome work well done. Last vid I saw you were putting up shade cloth. May I suggest you buy a pop-up gazebo or such. You can use it as a cover over section and use shade cloth over them, even chicken mesh, to stop those birds. It's already made frames that can be moved around. Keep going, you're inspiring, thank you. Wow, I watched when you planted the fig tree alley. Amazing. I would also suggest a bamboo mesh or shade cloth on the actual brick walls to inhibit the heat some. It would be interesting if you actually measure the temperature given off those walls.
Amazing garden. The Arizona sun to me felt like it was very similar to the sun here in Australia. It has a nasty bitе to it so I can only imagine how hard it is to keep all that green! Is that lawn fake turf? Do you find it gets really hot?
Hi there, I bought it on Etsy as a small rooted cutting I believe ! I’ll try and find the name of the shop I bought it from and if I’m able to find it again I’ll come back and edit this comment to let you know!😊 www.etsy.com/listing/956071191/ The listing is called 3pk Bay Leaf and the plant shop is called: BellBookCandlePlants
Hello. I enjoyed your video. I was wondering, have you considered putting out seed for the birds? Maybe it will distract them from your crops. I love that your sister gave the Carmen avocado to honor mother. I hope it recovers. That's a good name. Happy gardening! ☺️❤️
Do you know which variety it is? Once the weather cools down hopefully it begins to bounce back :) mine barely started pushing out some new fresh green growth
When you grow only in pots, you need to fertilize more. And water more. Trees need to be planted in earth. I would cut the fake turf in spots, and dig down deep enough to plant each tree, or perenial plant you have to give the root system a living chance. They will not survive much longer in pots.
How do you have plants so close to the air conditioner? It gives off such hot air. Maybe they look closer in the video than they actually are, but if your AC is running a lot, those plants may be too close and getting all that hot air.
I'm not a tree expert, but I know they need air, in my opinion you have them to close to each other! I know your mulberry will get huge and give you lots of berries but it needs to be in the ground! Good luck!
Hope you read this put a pretend person in there dress it up like a person to send the birds away. Wild wig and all, be sure to make one kneeling with a hat 🤠

Just a suggestion. When the sun is so hot mulching with leaves or anything you have to mulch around the roots and the pots helps a whole lot.
Great idea! Thanks.

I wish I could send you the extra water we have in the North east. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.🙏🏾🌱🙏🏾🌱💖💖
The water would be much appreciated in this arid desert 🥹

Wow! You have fit a lot of food into your space! Thanks for sharing 💜
Your garden looks amazing !!

For real everytime hear or see full sun 🙄 does not apply here in 8b Texas. Lol be prepared
Same for South Florida. Full sun is not the way to go lol
I bought a pound of cooking pigeon peas from Amazon and they germinate very easy and are growing fast.

Wonderful. Why don’t you keep in grounds ?
Need scarecrows for bird repellent. Lol

You have awesome plants, but I just want to get in there and prune and clear out all the dead leaves and compost them.
Move the avocado to a more shaded area and the like sandy soil
Outstanding
Can you please tell me about Bay lead transplant? Did you grow from seed? Any links pls.

Where did you get your Coolidge variety pineapple guava?

Amazing collection! What size containers are your citrus in?
Who was the Gardner you mentioned at the beginning?
I was wondering if the bricks in the wall was causing an increase in the heat that was getting to your plants?
Nice collection. You need bigger well draining pots to help protect the roots . . Most of those plants need to be in the ground..
My peach is really really struggling
Do you know which variety it is? Once the weather cools down hopefully it begins to bounce back :) mine barely started pushing out some new fresh green growth

Girl can you come help my garden 🤣😫 I have black thumbs!

So much watering can cause root rot. That’s what happened to my garden
Very true, in this case though I found the cause was actually no water because a rodent had bit through the irrigation 🙂↔️
Do you have problems with small ants or mealybugs?
U need some mango tree in ur yard to create some shade
That’s addiction.
