  • Jillian Harpin was on vacation when she fell three stories off a balcony and suffered a T4 spinal cord injury that paralyzed her from the waist down. Now 18 months after her injury she is striding into life with the help of the Ekso bionic exsokeleton at Gaylord Hospital. Jillian's determination is infectious and she won't let her injury limit her life.

Need to bring this life restoring miracle out of testing and into the real world. Been hearing about these for well over 20 years. The real "test pilots" need to be veterans not blonde pretty faces that rich donors flock to because they are blonde pretty faces.

Hi Micheal, The Veteran's Administration does offer vets, when they are deemed qualified by the VA, several exoskeleton suits including the ReWalk (the Ekso suit in the video is only for inpatient use at this time). The VA will purchase an exoskeleton and train a veteran to use it. Because this program is administered through the VA, veterans needing an exoskeleton are not usually seen at rehab hospitals like Gaylord. So the good news is that veterans are using suits similar to the one in the video.
