I feel like the “ mundane “blogs are the most relatable! I think that’s where a lot of us mamas are at in our day to day. It’s refreshing to see that it’s okay to get some things done with the kids are awake.

I love your "boring" vlogs! The planned out ones are fun and great inspiration, but I feel like the the average days really balance things out. Those are more what my days look like, so it's encouraging to see other moms have similar days.

Rowan saying “I need a hug” was so pure. Such a healthy handling of his sadness, to ask for help. I as an adult still work on that skill.
Every time Megan said it’s boring lol I was like noo I love this type of vlog. It just shows how normal life can truly be beautiful. When I watch Megan I’m very inspired to be kind and gentle to my kids. Because wow how kind and gentle isn’t she to her kids. You can tell she truly loves them. ❤

Side note: our oldest will be 13 this year. Yes. Days can be long but time has FLOWN!! She’s a beautiful young lady that I want to be like when I grow up 😅 At one point our three oldest were 3 under 6, 2 in diapers, working from home, etc… it seems like a lifetime ago so getting to do it all over again and having a 4th is such a blessing. Hang in there friend. One day at a time. God Bless 😊

I definitely have realised as ive gotten older and my kids are older that things go through life change constantly every few years. At the time it does feel like a never ending mundane cycle but each stage brings different things. All of a sudden u have kindy/school/teens and all the of the challenges and fun that come with those ages and u miss the younger years. This reminds me of what life was like when my kids were little❤
I love both raw and planned vlogs.
My son used to wake up after naps exactly the same and it would last a hour or more and he would cry and cry. I tried so many different things, it lasted about a year about the same age. I put it down to being grumpy/groggy when waking. It was a really hard stage....but it too passed.

28:50 YESSS to my 2.5 year old waking up from naps inconsolable, and sometimes mornings too. I just let her know that I’m there for her when she’s ready for a cuddle, and sometimes it’s like a switch just flicks for her and she’s suddenly ready for that cuddle, but it’s screaming and thrashing around until then. Tough but obviously just another phase!
My 21-month-old was completely entranced with Rowan and Juniper. I enjoyed the chill vibe of this too. When kiddo wakes up from a nap inconsolable, it might be hunger?
I'm so jealous that you are able to do your makeup with minimal noise from your babies. Lol. That was almost an impossible feat for me at that age. My children are just not calm. I love them. Everything about them is fantastic; they smell wonderful. Lol. But they are not calm. I think it's a genetic thing because everywhere I go I see calmer babies and I don't get it. I mean, my kids are fed and clean and stimulated and not tired often and sooo much noise and activity is common. It's excessive and I don't know why. 🤷 I now have two toddler boys (3 years and 4 months & 21 months).

I think this shows a very authentic perspective in the DITL of a mum, thank you for sharing it x it's not always amazing, stimulating activities and that is OK. Sometimes we just make small things happen through the day and our kids just get to experience it x love this, thank you so much.
My 2 year old often wakes up from napes very sad/upset/disoriented. What usually works for us is I take him out of bed and immediately sit on the floor with him and just give him big hugs. I tell him to squeeeeeze and he give me big hugs back. If that isn’t working I usually give him a bowl of whatever his favorite fruit is at the moment. I read somewhere that sometimes kids wake up like that because their blood sugar is low. So they just need a little pick me up. One of those two things usually helps snap him out of it but honestly sometimes like you said, we just have to ride it out for about 10 minutes.
Ur a really good mom and ur great with balancing ur hobbies and keeping ur cup filled to make sure u show up for ur babies 😢 ur an inspiration and I strive to be like this with my babies
Yep, my son is about 2 months younger than Rowan and I'd say at least once, sometimes twice a week he wakes up completely on the wrong side of the bed and it takes like 30 minutes to get him back on track again. Literally nothing will help during that time, even his most favorite activities or snacks, it's so weird.
I love these types of vlogs. It was not boring at all.
Ya my 2 year old did this for a season and I would just hold and cuddle him for how ever long he needed then ask if he wanted a snack or water. Does he feel alone when he wakes up? Is he waking up in the same place he fell asleep? He may out grow it. If you don’t already you could always throw in another prayer before nap time 😊
Our son for a while woke up super sad after his nap every day. We discovered that he just needed to continue waking up on his own. We honestly just had to ride it out. If he left his room super sad, then we would snuggle him on the couch until he is ready to be awake. He eventually grew out of it.
It’s amazing to me people can just put babies in cribs awake. My son has always fought sleep.

My 16 month old wakes up from her nap very sad sometimes, the only thing that calms her is singing or reading books

@Megan Acuna just be careful hun it only takes one easy pull my daughter did it at young age and broke her leg and till this day she has leg pains like no tomorrow.
In the struggle bus mentally today to. Being a stay at home mom can feel very repetitive and tedious at times. I have 10 month old Rowan and this has helped me today not feel so alone.

Not bored at all watching this, I love these kinds of vlogs!! Loved the part where Rowan cozied up to you outside with your jacket unzipped. So precious! Also, my son (21 months) does the same thing waking up crying and sad from naps!! Haven’t found out what causes it either, but we just ride the wave too.
Love seeing the regular day in the life 😊 I've heard if they wake up cranky or sad from a nap it could be that their blood sugar is low so a snack should help. Maybe that's it?
Maybe you mentioned it in a previous video, but last video you mentioned sleep training. Which method worked for you guys? And how old were your kids at the time? I have a 6 month old, and I am STRUGGLING with sleep 😩

My son is the same way and always has been with the really sad wake-up’s I keep thinking night mares as well but I haven’t found anything that works other than riding it out as well. It’s so sad when you can’t fix it 😢
I like a mix of both. I have a 29 month old and a 5 month old and I feel my life is also a mix of both. Some days we do multiple crafts, go outside, etc and some days all I do is laundry, clean and cook and be low key. I believe most moms are also in the same category. The mundane is real.

I love the more unedited real life moments as a mom of a toddler I find it hard to watch a lot of moms on social media cause I find it so unrealistic and it makes me feel like a failure sometimes. I know that’s definitely my problem to compare.. it’s definitely a struggle since becoming a mama comparison is my biggest enemy in my life as of lately

I prefer when there is more going on, like activity ideas and whatnot. I realize that’s not what every day really looks like for you but its nice to have something to aspire to and some ideas to use to entertain my kids!
My 20 month old loves helping me with laundry and picking up toys! Maybe your boy could help you with your chores in his own way 😅
