Can we just get an animated series of The Amory Wars?? Reading and listening to the story behind the songs are so awesome, cuz they immerse you into this whole new world. Imagine seeing that play out on screen. It would be MIND-BLOWING!!! Please, make this happen, guys!
Get the studio that did Arcane for the animation and that would be awesome.
The budget isn't there to do a quality enough animation. People want to see it in a high budget animation but honestly if they went for one it would have to be really cheap.

There was gonna be a movie, back when The Amory Wars was still just Coheed, Cambria, Claudio, Jesse, the IRO-Bots, vs Wilhelm Ryan, and iirc Mark Wahlberg was attached to produce(?), but that's stuck in development hell at best, and the story's gone so far beyond that now.
EDIT: Which is to say, full support for an animated series.

I've been a long time Coheed and Cambria fan. Its not very often they put out something where I get disappointed. This is one of those things. This song is so wonderful and powerful. This music video is disrespectful to the song.

I love the song, one of the best that you've put out. That said, the video does not do the music justice. It feels a little aimless for a track that has such a rich story to tell. But still, an awesome song and a classic album. Ive listened to it countless times.

It feels similar to the old music player's background. Like it shifts and moves with the beat of the song but doesn't actually portray the song beyond the scenes being a part of the story.
Completely agree, I really enjoyed watching Josh smash this song out in the studio on his channel. If they released a 4x4 of each of them recording this in the studio, that would be incredible.

What in the acid trip hell did I just watch? One of the best songs on the album and this is the video that was green lit for it, 2023 just keeps getting more low effort
Dude what are you talking about the video fits the song, if you're paying attention the waviness is actually the character models swapping parts and designs extremely fast. I think it's supposed to represent those that have failed. Even the starships all change shape and size as if they're from different points in time and factions. Was it a strange artistic decision? Sure, but I think it's fitting considering the lyrics and the point in the story that this song refers to.
The human being behind the inspiration of these conspiring bands is a ******* legend. Forever. Yaya! More Cambria 🙏

I'm not sure this artwork deserved to be mangled by an AI like this... Honestly, taking some of the cleanest, coolest sci-fi artwork I've ever seen and making it indisctinct and mangled was *a choice* .

this is certainly a video. Looks like someone watched Reboot and Beast Wars and said what if we used that art style 25 years later in a music video. It's a good thing the song goes so fucking hard.

Nah it's like they paid a animator to create a couple scenes , didn't like how long it took him, and just threw what he had into an ai for the video it's a sad lack of creativity from one of the most creative bands out there

Looking closer it definitely gives the impression an AI was fed images of existing artwork and they just kinda got morphed together.
I love this song bits but this video is such a huge let down especially since it was launching on Crunchyroll of all places.
I was expecting some actual animated shots.
Comparing this music video to Linkin Park's - Lost, is a fantastic example of how AI generated content can be amazing but can also completely fall flat. Coheed has always been a extremely talented group and Ladders is by far and above one of their absolute best tracks of all of time. Yet this music video feels aimless in direction especially given the deep storytelling we're all become accustom to through the Amory Wars.
This is a miss for me, maybe it's because I hold them at such a high regard but I'll still eagerly await any new music/content these professionals produce in the coming years!
Some of these animation studios should be able to jump in on the idea and help out with this becoming a series as a whole. The part of storytelling is all in Coheed's especially visually and the writing direction. There will be an anime of Amory Wars or however they want their creation to be. I really do hope there will be such thing because as much as I look forward to new innovative and creative animated series, we really are lacking them.
This going into Rise is one the cleanest transitions in music history.

This is my favorite song of the album, cant wait to see it live.
It’s so good live. Honestly, probably even better live. I got to see them a few weeks ago, they played it right before welcome home. Both are amazing live. My gf just surprised me with tickets to see them later this year. I can’t wait!

I was a huge fan of Coheed & Cambria while growing up and always bought their records & went to their concerts. Lately, didn't follow the band that much, but just saw this song passing by on TH-cam and wow. I'm still a fan, we just had a hiatus for a few years

Coheed has always had some obscure videos, but that has always just solidified who they are to me as artists. They aren’t trying to be cookie cutter in any way and they will always (so far at least) stand by their artistic decisions and directions regardless of how people feel about it. They could be another Fall Out Boy, Panic At The Disco, My Chemical Romance, or any other band with a 2-3 album lifespan before they sold out
Long ago, when Coheed and Cambria landed, I was clueless to their power. Claudio is an amazing writer and performer! My partner and I were brought to tears during a rendition of "Lucky Stars". So much creativity and passion and the group keeps evolving!
Idk what the hyped announcement was for. They just took their existing artwork and put it through an AI art generator. Not really much of a music video, or anything new. It's still my favorite song on the album, though.

Absolutely LOVE this album, each and every song is just peak C&C. The video however, ignoring the strange tracking and reuse of animation the worst part is the AI images used.
I'm mostly a DM/BM metal guy and got introduced to this band by a very hot emo chick back in high school. IV is a great album, but this is straight up heavy metal, love it. The whole album is great, love the poppy feels too.

I don't know why exactly, but seeing them all stood round that hologram is giving me HEAVY Serenity/Firefly vibes.
On top of being a really underwhelming (at best, if I'm being polite) video, this is the second music video I've seen this week that's 90% machine learning generated, and I could not be more disappointed. Like... 5:22 to 5:25, Vaxis's head changes size at least a dozen times. I know music videos take time and effort, and are largely seen as unnecessary and kind of a waste of time by a lot of people, but considering how long ago the record and its other videos came out, it'd be nice if there actually WAS some effort put in here. Still a great song from what is still my favorite band after 20 years, but man, this video ain't worth the watch.

This song deserves more than this video. This is the best release in 5+ years and you chose to use ai rather than work with real artist to actually dipict a narrative. I got goosebumps when I read a video was release. They quickly subsided when this mess of nothing played.
Please don't continue with the AI. It's flashy and fills time but is detrimental to the actual art and storytelling. Ladders deserved so much more.

Pretty sure these are just the visuals that are going to be used at shows -- arguably my favorite song on the album BUT I agree that we need a little more video-ness here. Hopefully we can get a redux sometime in the future to show off the story here rather than little clips being recycled over and over again. If nothing else, maybe a fan with some good cinematography skills will create something for us to enjoy. Not sure what the budget looks like but yeah, like most people in these comments I'm a little disappointed. At least it's still a certified BANGER of a song, though. Love Coheed and all they do and I'll always support em, but yeah... this ain't it, chief :P

This video is so weird haha, like I'm not a huge fan of the CG in it but to not be so negative It's presented pretty well. I can't wait until the AI trend is over, there is potential but for now it just cheapens an otherwise great piece of art. Absolutely love this song but I couldn't watch the video, I just let it play in another window so Coheed can get the views.
The really funny thing about AI generated work is that these models are starting/will start to get fed their own output due to how much they've pervaded the internet and it results in lower quality returns. They're effectively "teaching" themselves negatively.
