The West is actually spending more on this war than Russia. In terms of overall GDP it is less because Russia is much poorer but in absolute costs the Russians are spending less.

@@iljaliasenko143absurd ? That’s very absurd to say honestly , these guys with 1/5 the size in terms of men and weaponry are adapting at every turn to keep the pressure on Russia , what they’re doing is absolutely amazing .
Those minefields , they’ve used the suns heat to watch them just as the temp lowers while the land mines are still slightly warmer to locate them , just an example . They are using guerilla warfare and it’s been working for them.
They deserve all the credit in the world for their heart AND brains since this started, these ppl deserve victory and it will be a damn shame if they don’t get it.

@@scottkimball9169 I think that will be a reality. I.e. if they loose it. If you jump under the train it is absurd to think that you are likely to survive . That is what just happened to ukraine.
What absurd is - 1st to finance ukraine when you have so many problems at home 😱.
2nd to think that Russians will not study and use effective tactics and project it on ukrainian soldiers.
3rd yes, when you want to survive - you will pull yourself inside out and find a way to increase that chance. You lost the war already by underestimating the russians and thinking that only ukros think of something new to increase chances of survivability. You were wrong. Check the stats of how many drones ukros loose at the front. The amount is staggering. Not sure if the West actually can produce that much on amonthly basis.

@@davidkelly4210 They have more nukes than anyone else in the world, so yeah, by that rationale alone, they have a major influence in global geopolitics.
Hell if they didn't, NATO wouldn't have Ukraine as fucking hamstrung about actually striking back into Russian territory with our lent weapons as they do now. We'd probably have our own boots on the ground to get this whole fucking thing over already. The ONLY reason we haven't been is because Russia still leverages significant power on the global scene, even if it's mostly in being suicidally threatening.
Plus they're still one of only 5 countries with UN veto powers. I mean I don't have to think about this for very long to come up with reasons why they're still relevant, even if the Soviet Union itself collapsed.
With any luck, after this all pans out, after however long it takes, (and likely, after the internal state of the Russian population finally just has fucking had enough of Putin,) they won't be anymore, but even then they'll still be an enormous threat without a significant international effort of disarmament of their nuclear arsenal. As long as that exists we have to treat them like a major power, even if their military is accomplishing a lot less than we assumed it could.
