I wanted to share something I heard at a studio today that really struck a chord with me. “Perfection in voiceovers is a continuous process, not a destination”. So true.

Hi Bill! I'm a young actor from Bulgaria. I can't thank you enough for the things that you're doing to help aspiring voice actors such as myself. I'm still at the point at which I'm working on my demos and have A LOT to learn. Neverthelss this channel has been a gamechanger to me. I'm literally watching a few videos every time before i start practicing or recording to further motivate myself. Also thanks for uploading this webinar since it's really hard for me to attend it on the live session because of the time difference. Keep up the great work!

Bill I'm very impressed you are speaking to me. I'm now retired, 40 years in corporate sales with a decent set of pipes. Thank you for your seminar. Bob Gauthreaux

Listened to the entire program. Thanx Bill great presentation. Learned new things. Specifically, about dialect. Have been wondering if My deep Southern sound would be a hinderence. Now I see it could be an advantage. Ive spent significant time in the Midwest. Chicago, Minneapolis, Wisconsin,Iowa. When I came back South from Minnesota it took a year or two to stop saying,"Yeah Surrre".😆

The MXL 990 or 990s is also a great starter mic. Cheap with decent sound and a manageable noise floor.

Why isn’t the book available as an audiobook? LOL! Maybe time for a 2nd edition? 😊 Love these videos. Been watching them for a few weeks now.

The Waves NS1 is awesome. To use it with Audacity, you will need the Legacy Version 10. You have to purchase the current version, but then download the Legacy version.

Nice I have a Fifine K668, and I love it so far, I think I could do VO with that, awesome!

I hollowed out a kids’ foam ball from Walmart to make my own version of the Kaotica Eyeball. It works fairly well in isolating the sound and you can combine a pop filter in front of the hole where the mic is nestled.

I have a question for you, or anyone that can answer. I have looked at some of the sites, that you mention. There are a few that have what you are going to do for the bid. Like record voice only. Or, write copy and voice and add music. I am not that tech savvy. So I would just do the voice part of it. Will I loose out to people, who will do the whole job? And will clients still hire on the basis of voice only? Or will I have to go through a crash course and learn how to add music and do all of that?

Watching this video has helped me a lot, Thanks for uploading this Bill. I want to start taking on projects asap but I think I am gonna work on getting into your program. One thing I have noticed is that , it gets a bit hard to record after eating and voice tone changes after a meal. Has any one experienced this or is it normal for the voice tone to change after a meal? NS1 does a better job than even izotope's . Thanks Bill.

Hey Bill how are you? I purchased a Fifine and thought I'd be able to purchase a Kaotica eyeball but Fifine isn't listed as a compatible mic. Are they just not listed?

Hi Bill - just found your channel, am really enjoying it! The noise cancelling plugin with the slider you mentioned... does that work with Audacity? I also have an on old Audition version (3.0), might it work with that? I didn't see Audacity listed on the specs at wave.com thanks, Mike

Can anyone help me with my spacing? My house has no interior rooms outside a bathroom. I have no basement, attic, or walk-in closets.
I bought a bunch of good equipment, but it's all bunk if I can't find a quiet place to record.

Hi! That really just comes through time and experience. It's always difficult early on but as you do more and more projects you'll get a good feel for how much time needs to be dedicated to each topic. From there it's knowing deadlines and then juggling priorities.

I have a fifine. I actually love it, but I've dropped it a couple times so I think I ruined it 😩. Glad I didn't buy anything more expensive!!!
