And cheers to you Mike at MGK Buffalo! Thanks for the shoutout. I would definitely choose “Selling England by the Pound” over Stan Getz a Go. Go. Although like I said before, I do like jazz drummers. I am really looking forward to Embryonic switching to all country. No more twelve part John Cale😁😉
I approve of some of these, but not the Sammi Smith 😂 But, Embryoinic Outlaw is a pretty good name! 😐 I need to upgrade my copy of Selling England. Wow, Powder Blues. It's worth every cent of the $3 you paid. Cheers! I'll see if we can find you in the crowd at the Bills game on TV.
Hey! I actually have a number of these. I got that Kimmy Mitch.. Allied forces is fantastic. What a tune Fight the Good Fight is. Selling England is my favorite Genesis album and one of my favorite records of all time. Gimme Firth of Fifth all day. Enjoy Bills Mafia tomorrow Mike!
Happy Saturday Cheers. I was actually in Ithaca, New York around this time last year. I haven't purchased any Max Webster yet, but I do have one Kim Mitchell album. I bought a book where the author picks the 500 best country songs of all time and he picked "Help Me Make It Through The Night" by Sammi Smith" as the number one tune. Can't wait for that new Brian channel. Looks like some nice record prices.
Wow it doesn't take Colton long to make an appearance! Norman and Suzie both have had a taste of being outside and now they stand and block the door when we need to go outside. But we don't let them off the deck, which they are not too happy about that, but there are too many coyotes around here to let them just roam about. Nice to see a Triumph album at a great price especially when it looks as good as that one. I agree that Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins did sound a lot alike in the early days. It was hard to tell when Phil did the occasional vocal when Peter was still there. It's funny how I never saw any Powder Blues records until I got two of them, then suddenly they seem to be everywhere. Chris Rea does sound a lot like Mark Knopfler, especially on his album (his best I think), "Road to Hell". Great stuff!
I’m going to have a second collection at this rate Craig! I keep telling Patty the house we eventually find better have a bigger music room than the last one!
Sweet jam to start with Roy 🎸 Can’t go wrong with some Triumph (can’t say the same with my Habs right now). We were in Sandbanks early October and Kim was coming in the week after at Base 31 amazing venue, wish could have seen him… Always liked Genesis and love their album covers, great artwork. Getz is a gem and the rest am happy discovering… Your easy flowing music knowledge is always a pleasure, cheers my man and enjoy the Bills Mafia today in the city of good neighbours 🍻🎶✌🏼
Ithaca's Flower Power IPA is some good stuff. I also have been hearing that rumor about Brian's channel! People tend to write off TMZ - but they always get the story right and are the first to know! Wille's Roadhouse on Sirius has been playing a quite a bit of Sammi Smith lately, and need to pick up some of her LPs. The Gilberto LP reminded me I will be back at Arthur's Tavern later this month in NYC again - can't beat that live jazz club vibe. Enjoy the game Mike!😎
Hey Mike. Thanks for showing that Sammi record. Not familiar but she’s on my radar now thanks to you. Actually, Phil Collins takes his first lead vocal on one of the songs on the Selling England album. Maybe the last song on the second side. Have fun at the game tomorrow. Cheers.
Hi Mike 😊 Good to see you. …and Colton. Wow, very cool to see a Chris Rea album in the VC. I love his music. There was a joke I read. Dire Straits is for people who don’t like rock music. But for those same people who don’t like Dire Straits, there’s Chris Rea. Hope you enjoyed the football Mike. Cheers from Morten
man i sank into that hole too when i got back into vinyl of buying stuff on vinyl i had on CD. now im starting to ditch that vinyl stuff. none of this makes sense. interesting stuff dude.
Those " Scientist " records are always a good find. They pop up then are quickly spirited away by collectors. I have a " Triumph " greatest C.D and " Allied Forces ", as they were recommended to me by a canadian TH-cam member. Those prices are very reasonable for records, you cannot buy a coffee for that amount.☕✌
@@AttackFromDownunda Hi Keith! I’ve been buying some nice repressings of some of my favorite reggae artists including Scientist. It’s worth a few extra bucks to have a nice clean copy. I paid $25 for that one I showed. I grew up on Triumph, a really classic Canadian outfit! ✌️
I knew, in the first seconds, that it was Roy Buchanan, and I don't even have the album! 😊 I visited a record shop this morning that priced its albums at least 50% too high. Those Revolver prices are right up my street. Nice to see the classic SEBTP and loving that Getz album too! I'm not keen on that early Chris Rea though. I'm all in on 'Stoney Road' and 'Blue Guitars'....much, much later. They're excellent. I can't wait for Embryonic's new channel. That's a genre I'm gonna need some help with.
Psychedelic beer woah! The OPP were on our ass when I was in Toronto because little did I know I was hanging with the Embryonic Outlaw. I've heard on the grapevine another channel possible channel name could be Embryonic's Country Deep Cuts That Scientist record is the shit 👍That reminds me I still need to do a reggae vid for an audience of 1...MGK. I have the best intentions not to duplicate my cd's & vinyl too, but I'm losing the battle. "I know what's gonna happen to this beer, I'm gonna drink it" 😂
7 bucks for 'Selling england by the pound' a steal... your right though - Phil does sound like Peter Gabriel at first when he took over on lead vocals. I like reggae and dub to a degree - i always enjoy it when i hear it. I own so little of it though in physical format.....recommend me something please. Chris Rea - i like alot - the Dire straits comparison you made has gotta be down to the bluesy guitar and gravely spoken style singing...
Selling England is about my favorite Genesis ! Chris Rea is terrific. That is his debut, I like it !
Genesis for $7 too JT! I couldn’t leave it. ✌️
Hey mike… enjoyed the video. Love roy Buchanan. Hope all is well
Hi Tony! I’m loving the Roy Buchanan stuff. ✌️🎸🎸🎸
Enjoy the game Mike! I can’t wait to see you jump through a table! Oh, we gotta do that at your party! Lmao 🤣
I can see Mike helping the little ones break them tables yes, that should be his next video… To be followed 😎🎶

Selling England is so great Gary!

Embryonic Outlaw! Why did I not seek a career in marketing/advertising! 🤠

'Firth of Fifth' contains the BEST GUITAR SOLO in rock. Ever. OFFICIAL. 😊
Colton is your Ed McMahon😄 Never Surrender is that Triumph album you were thinking of. Great video as always! Congrats to David and Craig! Cheers!
Co-Host Colton!

Kris Kristofferson sure wrote some great songs Randy! ✌️
I remember hearing Magic Power by Triumph on the radio a lot, when I was in high school in the early. 80's, nice memories
It’s a desert island pick for me. Allied Forces!

Hi Mike! I got a new copy of Rea’s Road To Hell a year or so ago. It’s outstanding!
cool stuff and great info as usual, You're going to need a bigger room in the new house at the rate you're buying 😅 Thanks for the shoutout 🍻

Love TMZ Ed! They are apparently adding a reporter to cover the Vinyl Community. 🤠🐈
Getz Au Go Go looks great. Cool stack of records. So cool that you got to meet the owner of Revolver. Rock on.
Thanks Randy! You should come up next July. I’ll introduce you. ✌️
@@MGKBOSTON yeah I saw all the documentation of the July 2024 visit and already invited myself for 2025 lol Looking forward to it!

Beer and vinyl i definitely like that combo! Cheers
It really is the perfect combination!
Oh, and thanks for the shout-out!
It’s not every day you hit 5 million! 😂
Great video. Love Roy, saw him in Boston, Harvard Square & Lowell, 6 times back in the day. Triumph, yes! Love Sammy Smith. Cheers
