    I can't stress enough the quality of tools, especially an amp meter. My cousin bought a cheapo one to do some work at his house. Tested one socket, completely blew his meter up, and tripped his circuit. No injuries luckily, but then he bought a Kline

It is a great exclusive product for how to start a handyman business minus the headache. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my mate got cool results with it.

    Hello wow well retired maintenance mechanic for the Kansas city international airport and former operating engineer on boilers and chillers . You hit it right on the head on your comment of the bag mine looked exactly as abused as your well worse lol. And you are right on all the correct tools in it as well as that size bag is the best because you can easily grab and go . And then ya need a longer one or a good light box weight makes a difference. O yes I also worked at the water supply treatment plant for Kansas city on EVERYTHING there. Good video and the good quality 4 and one paint knife is a secret weapon lol omg so many uses yes I abused mine hammered on it used it to pull small nails you name it best thing to clean roller pads that and a spinner I would add a used paintbrush and a harder one or like the little dollar store whisk dust pan thing just a little small thing but very helpful good job

    I rewatched your video and you mentioned it's important to have the v-jaw type channellocks. Why? I'm assuming to grip round objects like pipes? Is there another reason? Thanks

    • @CityBoyPrepper
      @CityBoyPrepper  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      misterdinkly Yes sir exactly.. bigger pipe nuts are just easier to remove if you have that extra grip and torque. Also, bathtub spouts are kinda big and rounded off making them very easy to damage/destroy. The straight-type Channel Locks seem to slip off easier, especially if your surface is wet. Thank YOU for the comment! Oh, and your profile pic is kick ass!

    I use to carry a bag like that when I started in apartment maintenance now I don't because I don't want bugs getting into my bag.

    • @smartchip

      Bugs, wow, sounds scetchy where do you go, scutsville, feel for you brov,

    • @kalebglaze5897
      @kalebglaze5897 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do the same thing now. Never take a bag inside of an apartment that is not yours or one that you're not familiar with the people.

    • @pulsartech2945
      @pulsartech2945 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kalebglaze5897 agreed, I work for a community and we sometimes have residents that have bedbugs...my advice is I have disposable boot covers...preferably the ones that go past your ankle in height that keeps me from tracking them home and my tool bag I either leave outside the apartment or put it in a small clear trash bag just to be safe...I'm overly paranoid about it though

    • @ibrazeau3044
      @ibrazeau3044 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The best advise is to leave all your work gear and clothes at work! Bedbugs don't live where there is no food... and that is you! My crew change their clothes and shoes at work in a locker room and they have a shop area for their tools and inventory. I have those rooms pest controlled by contract and any doubts or problems are dealt with promptly. I prefer and advocate tool-belts rather then bags such as the one in the video. Too many tools in-suite when a tote/cart could be left at the door. Sometimes belts can't be worn in-suite but they invaluable for organization and speed. If bags are used, I will provide totes and bags in the likes of the Milwaukee pack outs. They have plastic bottoms and are really easy to clean out. Carts are not usually a problem for bugs and they are usually used in conjunction to tool belts.

    • @pulsartech2945
      @pulsartech2945 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ibrazeau3044 see the issue with that becomes shitty apartment complexes. I work for a retirement community that charges residents $2100(USD) for a 1 bed 1 bath...they can only "afford" to work me 30 hours a week...and our tool budget is $62 per month. I don't have the right equipment to do my job provided to me, so I have to take it with me everywhere. Including back home...ours are contracted to be sprayed as well, but by the time we get to 1 room they're already in 10 more and it sucks.

    • @CityBoyPrepper
      @CityBoyPrepper  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on who ya ask, I guess. Apartment Maintenance Supervisors at the company I work for make $44K-56K/gross yearly.

    • @nicholaspetre5452
      @nicholaspetre5452 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would add that places that require heavy background checks such as defense contractors like Northrop Grumman or Boeing or maintenance mechanics that work on air fields make near 90k-95k on base yearly.
      I work for American Airlines and make 75k yearly.
      The work as a industrial maintenance mechanic is different than commercial or residential maintenance as it normally requires larger volume of work And higher voltages. Also more use of maintenance troubleshooting manuals
